Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Nothing yet. This has been a giant pain. You think you are making progress watching their videos only to find it does not work.
  • Very fast and reliable on Mac M1 M2 M3 series. it uses minimal CPU resources. it runs on MacBook battery for a very long time, and I don't need to plug in my MacBook so I'm mobile and feel free to walk around and still see the market. It doesn't crash often like NinjaTrader. everything can be easily backed up and restored - unlike NinjaTrader. And the best thing... is pricing - Order Flow edition is all I need - awesome heatmap like Bookmap ($2k software) and awesome Bid xAsk volume imprint - very important for Order Flow traders.
  • Nothing. Nada. Zip. Garbage. Outdated. Trash. Cheap. Non attractive. Lost in time. Waist of money. Find a different software. Save your money.
  • - lightning fast on M1 Mac - great email tech support - Order Flow edition is more affordable than NinjaTrader and Bookmap - great alternative to Bookmap with similar heats and big order bubble - license comes with iPadOS version with limited functionalities
  • Charting, flexibility. The breadth of analyses that the platform is capable of is also very good. Ability to connect to multiple data sources is great.

Cons

  • After watching so many of their videos, I found that some aspects of the videos did not work or lacked complete information. I have spent hours setting up charts and trying to save them. MW support keeps giving me ways to do this. Should be f simple. however, when I reopen MW those charts are not to be found. 'Dealing with emails at customer support it brutal. You have to write and rewrite paragraphs and include screen shots of the progression of the issue. After all that, the fix does not work. i am only continuing with MW because I hear Sierra has literally no customer support.
  • #1. WiFi connection can lag Order Flow volume imprints. If there is a lag, I have to MANUALLY refresh all the Bids x Asks. With Ethernet, this problem is solved. #2 Custom Indicator - very hard to DIY although I have source codes in PineScript. There is a programmer on MotiveWave forum, and his name is Spin. He's very reliable to make one for you.
  • Garbage. Garbage customer Care. Garbage graphics. Garbage experience considering it didn't work and they wanted my to spend 20 hours fixing their garbage software.
  • - not great for charting, TradingView is still the best - losing connection to Rithmic sometimes. However, it's a common issue among NinjaTrader and Tradovate
  • Some of the objects aren’t as smooth as I would like. Overall, however, no big deal.
