Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros The migration was (relatively) painless and seamless since it was seen as a direct upgrade. So it did save a lot of headaches with the proprietary migration utilities. REST api based. Cloud based protocols. Mobile device based management possible. Flat structure of users. Azure Active Directory is widely considered as the best Identity Management app due to its robust security policies, integration with Windows Server Active Directory and other Azure cloud services. It also offers Single Sign On and MFA ( multi-factor authentication ) for extra protection. It is quite affordable too, and is offered in multiple pricing tiers. Easy User management. Cloud based - manage from anywhere. Reliable - keeps replicated database of users. Policy management. Multi factor authentication. Self Service Password recovery feature. Integration with Office 365. Cons While Azure Active Directory does solve and enhance a number of items, there are some little gremlins still in the system that seem to just persist from previous versions of Azure Active Directory. Namely the way things work has stayed consistent, so this could be seen as both a bad and a good thing. Customization to your authentication and authorization needs may be challenge. The only extra feature i would like to have in Azure AD is more third party integrations. Expensive premium version. Screen layout can be simplified. Cons The console interface & functionalities like navigations seem outdated and complex - it should be made more user friendly. #1- After desktop software update every time RSA SecureID requires manual activation.
