About

Polar is an AI browser that actually does work for you, turning words into quick or hours-long tasks across research, recruiting, sales, operations, marketing, email, data and running a business. Built as a Chromium browser, it works inside the websites, accounts, sessions, extensions, and tools users rely on, clicking, typing, navigating, reading pages, updating spreadsheets, filling forms, and following tasks through to completion. Users can hand off work from any tab, use the current page as context, ask a question, or start a longer assignment without switching out of their workflow. Polar can operate autonomously for many hours across multiple sites and difficult interfaces, while users follow along, take over at any time, and keep sensitive decisions in their own hands. Prompts can be saved as reusable workflows and run manually or on hourly, daily, weekly, or custom schedules, carrying the same context into every execution.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Edge's speed & efficiency in page loading contribute to a smooth & responsive browsing experience. Its privacy features enhance user control over online privacy.
  • Microsoft edge has been a reliable companion in my online endeavors. The browser's compatibility with a range of extensions enhances functionality allowing for personalized browsing. The clutter free interface & user friendly design contributes to a great experience.
  • The first thing I liked about Edge is that it has an integrated ad blocker, which helps improve the loading speed of websites and prevents distracting ads from being intrusive. The ad blocker can be enabled or disabled based on your preferences and gives you greater control over online advertising. Edge has Microsoft services integration, Edge integrates seamlessly with other Microsoft services. This means that you can sign in to Office 365 and access your documents from any device. Plus, you can save your files directly to OneDrive for easy sharing with others. Edge also has very good tab management, allowing you to organize your tabs into groups and making it easy to navigate multiple websites. You can open a new tab or window, pin an important tab for easy access, and quickly find your open tabs to avoid browser window clutter. This browser starts quickly and loads web pages faster than other browsers. Edge's fast launch technology optimizes browser performance and speeds up web page loading, improving the overall browsing experience. In addition, Edge also offers the option to browse in private mode, which does not save browsing history and automatically deletes cookies when you close the browser window.
  • Microsoft Edge is the main browser that I use for my personal and work use, this browser works great on any computer, which guarantees Internet searches without high consumption. I really liked that Edge had a fluid and very easy-to-use interface, I was able to browse the internet and at the same time access the different sections that Edge has without any problem, this has allowed us to fully manipulate Microsoft Edge to our liking . Another thing I like about Edge is the ability to link my Microsoft account to the browser, this helps a lot as when I want to sync my Microsoft data to another computer that has Edge installed, I can do it without any problem if I need to. export some specific tabs, I can do it thanks to my Microsoft account sync, even if I want to use my favorite tabs on another computer with Edge, I can do it just by linking the Microsoft account.
  • Edge works at its basic level as it should. Several websites with outdated back end coding work best on edge, and is really the only time I use this browser. If it doesn't work on my preferred browser, I'll try Edge, and it usually works.

Cons

  • User's transitioning from other browsers may face a learning curve, But it can be learned easily just by generally exploring the options.
  • However there's been instances where compatibility issues with certain websites arose. Also the extension library while growing may not match the extensive offerings by other browsers.
  • The first thing I didn't like is that Edge has fewer extensions available compared to other browsers like Chrome and Firefox. This can be inconvenient for those looking for specific extensions to enhance their browsing experience. Another negative is in regards to the few browsing options, for example, there is no incognito browsing option on mobile devices, which can be a concern for those who value their privacy online. Additionally, the ability to sync bookmarks and tabs between devices is also more limited than in other browsers, which can be inconvenient for those who use multiple devices. Customization is another negative point, users do not have many options to customize the appearance of the interface or to adjust the configuration options. For example, there are no options to change the location of the address bar or the tab bar, which can be frustrating for those who prefer a different organization.
  • The main problem I found when I started using Edge is that this browser has no variety when it comes to setting a theme to the browser, the main themes are very basic, they offer a theme that only has basic colors and do not help to improve the design from the browser, however, you can enter the Theme store and purchase a theme with a better design, but this store does not have so many themes, this causes the user to not have variety or diversification when choosing an appropriate and comfortable theme for your Edge experience. My suggestion is that the Theme store should be more complete and offer many more themes. The second negative thing is that this browser has immediate blocking for all types of ads, it is great that ads are automatically blocked, however, there is no way to disable this blocking, I have tried to access some sites where I have to see ads to to access specific pages, and I have not been able to do that process because of this blocking of Microsoft Edge that cannot be deactivated.
  • It feels behind on the capabilities of customization and workflow. It is full of advertising that honestly is more annoying than I thought it would be.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Polar Browser looks really exciting from a developer’s point of view because it is trying to turn the browser into an actual agent platform. Instead of just giving you a sidebar chatbot, it is built around automating real web work: clicking, filling forms, navigating sites, collecting information, and running multi-step tasks. I like that it is focused on knowledge work instead of vague AI browsing hype. Research, sales, recruiting, ops, and business workflows are exactly where browser automation can save a ton of time if it works reliably. The agentic angle is the main draw for me. As a developer, I can see Polar being useful for testing workflows, competitive research, lead enrichment, data gathering, QA tasks, internal ops, and anything else that normally requires bouncing between a bunch of tabs. I also like that it is coming from people with experience in AI browsers and agentic web workflows. The recent funding round makes it feel like this is more than a side project, and the timing is right as AI browsers move from “search better” to “do the task for me.”

Cons

  • It still feels early, so I would not trust it blindly with anything sensitive, expensive, or business-critical yet. Agentic browsers are powerful, but they also raise real questions around permissions, logged-in accounts, data access, mistakes, and security. I would also want to test how well it handles messy websites, CAPTCHAs, dynamic interfaces, failed steps, and ambiguous instructions. Browser agents can look amazing in demos but get tripped up fast when the web gets weird. The other downside is that developers will need clear logs and controls. If an agent is clicking around on my behalf, I want to know what it did, why it did it, and how to stop or correct it quickly.
