Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros No doubt it is simple to handle plus a tons of SPAM/Security controlling options. Over it is a good quality email server, providing great features and customer support as we are using for the past 20 yrs. The system is easy and intuitive, it gives system administrator completely visibility and control. We started using Mdaemon email in 2007. True to their words, Mdaemon installation was problem-free and flawless. The help desk reached out to us during installation for support. But, we did not need any support as installation was simple and straight forward. It was easy to install, configure and use even for a non technical person. We started to use MDeamon software on our own server back with version 9 many years ago. Over the years they have made so many improvements to not only the email features, adding docs and file sharing to an entire domain or just one single user. Among other great improvements to the web UI such as layout and ease of use, and also greatly improving the security gateway for spam. Now we have migrated to the hosted platform, same great software, and support without the costly upgrading of new servers, OS versions, and hardware costs. The password check, complex password option, and robust a/v engines are just a few of the features we love about MDaemon. They line up well with our ongoing security initiatives. Cons Cant integrate with SSO and no appliance based. There is nothin much to dislike about this software. AltN has implemented features over time that are important to our requirements." The system not 100% exchange compatible, may affect some demanding clients user experience. Sometimes the system is memory hungry. This can cause the system to slow. In the past, older versions were some what of a pain to migrate to a newer version of the software. But they have made great efforts to make this transition easier for the network admins over the years. The only other feature i would say is lacking is a way for a user to create or download a backup of their entire email account, settings, and files. We were disappointed when the built in encryption for webmail was discontinued.		Pros from Real Users Pros All tools in one place — Mail, Drive, VPN, Calendar — make work simple and efficient. Seamless sync across devices keeps everything smooth and effortless, with flexible plans for any need. Trustworthy service from Switzerland. So its Europe. proton meets all legal requirements, so it is perfect for business. Availability is very good. I like the fact that it was constructed around account safety and it has a fresh interface. It has a lot of features and it is quite affordable for regular users. - Easy to use, - Open source, - Possible to use with a custom domain (requires a premium subscription), - Privacy orientated (something truly rare these days!) The web client is great for all my needs, and ProtonMail is a privacy-respecting e-mail provider, based on Switzerland. The # draw is that this is a secure, privacy-focused email alternative. It also has a very sleek interface. Can encrypt if you want, or not. All settings are available and it is easy to set up everything. Have a free version that I am currently using and it is not restricted in any way. Allows for two-factor authorization. ProtonMail offers encrypted emails, so it's a good option for those looking for a more private, secure email service compared to the bigger ones out there like Gmail and Outlook. It's got fairly priced options, and the free version isn't too bad either. I love that my emails are end to end encrypted. I found out that Gmail reads my emails and I quickly signed up for the free version.
