Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros In my humble opinion, this software has some of the best drilldown capabilities I've ever seen in a Tier3/Tier2 level ERP. M1 has also solved the age old problem of custom SQL queries that tend to be daunting for standard system users. The software allows users to create custom grids simply by selecting from a list of available tables and then adding headers. Behind the scenes it automatically writes the SQL code. This ability empowers daily users to easily access the data they need. Cons No software is perfect, and unfortunately one of the areas where M1 falls down a bit is on Deposit Invoices. The software can detect when a customer has a deposit, and apply it towards the final A/R Invoice, but if the situation arises where the original Deposit Invoice has to be credited, and a new Deposit Invoice issued, it tends to duplicate the deposit lines on the final A/R Invoice. The duplicate lines can be deleted, but that is an extra step that can be missed by a careless A/R person. If ECi would nip this issue in the bud, I'd be hard pressed to find something to complain about.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros I like how it puts most aspects of our business into one place. I also like how responsive the team at Steelhead has been on issues. The ability to see where all processes are at any time and the associated labor time with each transform The system is good I do like it. We use it on a daily basis. The tablets work great and i use a lot less paper. Steelhead tackles the finishing job shop challenge with an easy to navigate and easy to configure program designed to make workflow make sense. Our operators quickly adapted to the program and began working with it immediately. Managers have full visibility and are able to foresee challenges before they occur. Streamlined Quoting Process: Steelhead simplifies the quoting process, allowing quoting agents like myself to focus on other aspects of the job. It handles routine tasks efficiently, saving time and effort. User-Friendly Interface: The system is generally easy to use, making it accessible to staff with varying levels of technical expertise. Its intuitive design reduces the learning curve, enabling quick adoption. Remote Accessibility: One of Steelhead's standout features is its ability to provide visibility into the production floor from anywhere in the world. This remote accessibility enhances flexibility and facilitates efficient management, especially for those overseeing operations from different locations. Short-Term Benefits: Despite our relatively brief experience with Steelhead, we've already begun to realize tangible benefits. Its functionalities have contributed to smoother operations and improved productivity within our metal plating jobshop. Cons I feel that some of the functions could be a little more streamlined. Only complaint is some of the buttons could be more "bold". A few seem to fade into the background or are less intuitive to find. That we originally asked to have picture assigned to the parts and we don't have the area on the system that makes you have to take the pictures, but it still asked if you took a picture. Please can we fix this. Also, if there is and input of putting a part in it glitches. if someone else is using the system and changing something. We have not found a con yet. It is better than expected. Buggy Performance: While Steelhead offers significant advantages, it's not without its flaws. Users have encountered occasional bugs and glitches, which can disrupt workflow and undermine confidence in the system's reliability. Multiple Workflow Paths: The system's flexibility can sometimes be a double-edged sword. While it offers multiple ways to accomplish tasks, this can lead to confusion among staff and potential miscommunication. Standardizing processes could mitigate this issue.
