About

Buy, sell, exchange and manage your crypto in one single app. Securely. 27 coins and more than 1500 tokens supported. A hardware wallet is a cryptocurrency wallet which stores the user's private keys (critical piece of information used to authorise outgoing transactions on the blockchain network) in a secure hardware device. The main principle behind hardware wallets is to provide full isolation between the private keys and your easy-to-hack computer or smartphone. At Ledger we are developing hardware wallet technology that provides the highest level of security for crypto assets. Our products combine a Secure Element and a proprietary OS designed specifically to protect your assets. Ledger hardware wallets empower you with the ownership and control of your private keys.

About

Trezor Wallet is an easy-to-use interface for your Trezor. Trezor Wallet allows you to easily control your funds, manage your balance and initiate transfers. Online exchanges and wallet providers can disappear, go offline, be hacked. They are not reliable. Hardware wallet is the safest way to manage & trade your cryptocurrencies. Securing your digital assets has never been more straightforward. Audited by security researchers, verified by our track record. You can always recover access to your coins & assets from your offline backup. It only takes 5 minutes. When you first set up your Trezor, it will generate the seed for you. When you need to restore access to your wallet, use this offline backup. Your entire wallet is always accessible via your personal 12 to 24 words long recovery seed. The recovery seed follows a standard created by us at SatoshiLabs, but it is widely used, compatible with many wallet apps.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • >Great user interface (UI). >Great amount of coins supported. >Good look and feel. >Decent customer/tech support.

Cons

  • >Ledger just committed suicide by allowing backdoors into their software in partnering with a 3rd-party company to "store" your private keys. I can no longer take this company seriously. >Not open-source, so not as trust-worthy as all other open-source options. >They don't have great customer/tech support (in the rare instance that you would need it) in comparison to say Keystone wallet, but it's decent.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Form factor, touch screen, hide wallets, multisig supporting and amazing function - Shamir backup! Shamir looks like multisig, but in saving private keys.

Cons

  • Wallet needs more supporting blockchains, I think it can be realizing by crowd maintaining. Main and easy standard for adding your blockchain, and present it to frameworks (tendermint for COSMOS, terra luna, EVMOS and etc; graphene for EOS, WAX, BitShares and etc; and etc.)
