About

Kalshi is a federally regulated derivatives exchange built for quants. Kalshi’s markets are volatile and settle daily, which means even a small edge can be extremely profitable. Trading is fully-cash collateralized, so you can never lose more than you put into a trade, and contracts can be purchased for as little as $0.01. Kalshi supports trading through its native app (iOS & Android), website, and API. The latter features extensive documentation, open-sources sample code, and live technical support. Getting started with an algorithmic strategy is as easy as `pip3 install kalshi_python`. The following data is available for free on both the website and API: * Historical spreads: Use past pricing data to set up back-tests within minutes. * Low-latency broadcasts: Receive live updates of market price movements and trade executions. * Economic projections: Build strategies using Kalshi’s proprietary forecasting tools.

About

PropLine is a real-time player-props betting odds API serving 54 sports and 25 books — including Pinnacle and six exchanges (Kalshi, Polymarket, Smarkets, Matchbook, Novig, ProphetX) that the-odds-api and OddsJam don't carry. It is the only odds API that resolves player props against actual box scores: every Over/Under outcome ships with won/lost/push/void plus the real stat value. Pricing is per request, not per credit, so player props and alternate lines don't multiply your bill the way they do on credit-metered APIs. The response schema is the-odds-api-compatible, so migrating is a base-URL change. Free tier is 1,000 requests/day, no credit card; Hobby is $9/mo for 5,000/day and unlocks every paid feature — cross-book +EV, line history, closing lines and graded resolution; Pro is $19/mo for 25,000/day, adding CSV exports; Streaming Lite is $39/mo for 100,000/day and Streaming is $79/mo for 1M/day, both with HMAC-signed webhooks. Official Python, Node, MCP and CLI SDKs.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Nothing.
  • Kalshi is great - it lets me take positions based on my interests and preferences that I can't take on any other exchange. It's a great way to trade on my belief of certain market factors without taking unknown risks.
  • Trading on the S&P and Nasdaq markets has been useful to generate daily income consistently. The strike prices are kinda similar to Iron Condor options, but easier to understand. The extended trading hours 7 days a week are sweet + the volume incentive program is pretty sick!
  • Fast execution, low fees, user-friendly interface, real-time data, diverse assets, secure, reliable.
  • Great clean interface. I really enjoyed browsing through the markets and learning about them. It's a pretty unique place to be honest because you are trading on events and their probability of happening. I used to work in finance and I would have killed to have had access to this when we were hedging our portfolio's or had strong macro views.

Cons

  • Ok this Kalshi officially has the worst customer support ever. Only email (have sent 8 emails so far).
  • None really, besides some markets needing some additional liquidity
  • Small feedback: Support larger deposits and faster transactions.
  • Limited API calls, steep learning curve, lack of order groups, occasional downtime, requires coding.
  • Downside is that there are too many great markets for me to trade at one time. Honestly, if you have a view on the world you will find it on Kalshi and then put your entire deposit into it and at least in my case, make some money. Issue is, you will in no time find another market you want to get in to.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Great collection of bookmakers (not just 20 copies 1xbet clones) , combining breadth and sharpness. Huge amount of features. Historical data available too, but I have not tried.
  • - Reliable - Easy to use - Plenty of data - Never run out of API calls especially with well priced webhooks - Most cost efficient product on the market and it's not even close
  • -Reliability is top notch quality -Accuracy is phenomenal -Data speeds are excellent - Support is available 24/7. They respond almost immediately if there is an issue.
  • PropLine has been one of the best APIs I’ve worked with. The API is fast, well documented, and easy to integrate, with excellent coverage across sports and player props. What really stands out is the support. The team listens to feedback, responds quickly, and has shipped multiple improvements based on real developer suggestions. The pricing is also very fair compared to other sports data providers.
  • -They sell results (no fluff) - they dont waste time - CHEAPER and BETTER then oddsapi by a mile. - Pretty straightforward

Cons

  • I mean frankly, none. Any system like that occasionally has issues, and when I found something and emailed support the issue was fixed really fast, once literally within minutes.
  • Really can't think of much, maybe there could be a few more books but I know that is something Andy is consistently working on and I have no doubt those will come in the near future.
  • No cons found. I have been using on a daily basis since April 2026 and have zero complaints. If I had to "find" a con to list, it would be building out Prop-Line with the intent of Live Betting. During Live betting, Odds & Lines change frequently so it's a complete different beast.
  • I honestly don’t have any major complaints. I’d love to see the platform continue expanding with even more sports, markets, and documentation over time, but the team has been consistently improving the product and adding new features.
  • - This brand isn’t out enough like oddapi. If i found this brand when I first started. My project would’ve took hours instead of weeks.
