About
NetRead is a conduit, connecting publishers to retailers such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Apple. We make both print & eBook titles and the assets available Bowker, Ingram, and Baker & Taylor. We were the first company to create an ONIX-conversion application. We maintain close industry relationships with bookselling partners and book industry associations and influencers. Since 2000, we have supported the needs of the largest as well as the smallest publishers on the planet. NetRead’s ONIX-conversion application, JacketCaster, was the first to convert title information.

About
Start a Press is a white-label publishing operations platform for independent presses, book coaches, ghostwriters and organizations that publish books for authors. Each press can use a branded website, storefront, author portal and publisher workspace, with work coordinated by an AI agent connected to the press's ChatGPT account. Its publishing workflow covers author inquiries and quote drafts, manuscript intake and copyediting, cover and interior production, metadata, and distribution through the press's IngramSpark and Amazon KDP accounts. Publishers can import sales reports, calculate royalties, handle treaty withholding and track author tax forms. The platform is designed to preserve the press's brand, domain, ISBNs, author relationships and revenue, while keeping contracts and payments subject to owner approval. Plans are based on catalog size and carry monthly subscription charges plus an initial setup fee.
