Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros It allows you to maintain communications on a global scale, which is essential today, in addition to the fact that, due to being one of the best known, it is quite difficult not to find your contacts. A few of my friends are there but hopefully they will continue leaving. It has a user-friendly interface. - First, the Facebook has a very simple and user-friendly interface. - It suggests people, groups and community according to your interests. - It is available on almost every platform. - Facebook lets you connect with anyone and make them friend. - You can make private or public groups for people with the same interests. - It also offers a marketplace, where you can buy or sell any used or new items. Cons They are not usually quite clear about how they manage privacy, although there are multiple functions which allow you to have a certain control of your privacy, even today there are certain unknowns based on how they manage your privacy. Too many to name. The ethos is that of left wing radicals. However, Facebook does not respect your privacy. It sells your data and spies on you. The worst part is that Facebook censors users with different ideology from its owners. For example, I was blocked from posting on FB 5 times for 30 days last year only and each time for 100% truthful content under false pretext of misinformation. I have PhD. and do research for life - there was no misinformation on my part, just plain fascism on part of Facebook. - In the smartphone version, they really push the messenger app to use with Facebook. - It takes user data unnecessarily that sometimes feels like a threat to privacy.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Used to have pros. No ads, nothing mainstream, it was YOUtube not Corporatetube; like it actually is now. Its free to use. Good source to earn revenue if you have a channel. International exposure. Integrates easily. Broadcast live anywhere you are. Can download and watch offline later. Share a good amount of information to a lot of people in a short time. Visual and audio quality is fair. YouTube has an extensive monopoly over the world. It is very welcoming... at first, then, if you have an opinion you will lose your channel very, very fast. - YouTube has a very user-friendly layout, that can be used by anyone. - There is video available on any topic you want to see. - Its algorithm works great and suggests some great videos according to your taste. - It is by far the best platform to share and watch videos for free. - The UI is very smooth and user-friendly, anyone can use it without any technical knowledge. - It is available on all platforms. Cons Freedom of thought is not permitted. Everything is manipulated by the algorithm and various forms of censorship. Likes and dislikes aren't even recorded accurately. That type of code is as basic as it gets, to make the counter miscount, one would have to add more code, making this move clearly intentional. There are too many adverts on the free platform so one is forced to use premium for better undisturbed viewing. It's difficult to start earning. The video and audio quality can be improved. I didn't like the way YouTube is now the law in all things, even though they won't specify any problems they may say they are finding, other than generic. So, it becomes impossible to 'fix' content before they have completely banned the channel. - It really pushes the YouTube premium to the point that it becomes annoying. - The android version of the application is buggy, while downloading and watching videos simultaneously, the application lags a lot. - There are too many unskippable ads now on the platform.
