Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros It allows you to maintain communications on a global scale, which is essential today, in addition to the fact that, due to being one of the best known, it is quite difficult not to find your contacts. A few of my friends are there but hopefully they will continue leaving. It has a user-friendly interface. - First, the Facebook has a very simple and user-friendly interface. - It suggests people, groups and community according to your interests. - It is available on almost every platform. - Facebook lets you connect with anyone and make them friend. - You can make private or public groups for people with the same interests. - It also offers a marketplace, where you can buy or sell any used or new items. Cons They are not usually quite clear about how they manage privacy, although there are multiple functions which allow you to have a certain control of your privacy, even today there are certain unknowns based on how they manage your privacy. Too many to name. The ethos is that of left wing radicals. However, Facebook does not respect your privacy. It sells your data and spies on you. The worst part is that Facebook censors users with different ideology from its owners. For example, I was blocked from posting on FB 5 times for 30 days last year only and each time for 100% truthful content under false pretext of misinformation. I have PhD. and do research for life - there was no misinformation on my part, just plain fascism on part of Facebook. - In the smartphone version, they really push the messenger app to use with Facebook. - It takes user data unnecessarily that sometimes feels like a threat to privacy.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros The potential to share community information. The potential to connect with neighbors. The ability to offer an informed opinion about issues of community interest. Connecting with some good people and making new friends. Learning of upcoming events or programs. You get an ability to have a few chats with locals. If your pet is lost would be the only reason to get on this app or if looking for a local contractor also they have a free and sale link but 90% of the free stuff isn't really free. Nothing. No pros about this app. Shouldn't have to put anything pros because there's no pros. It's all crap. Cons Biased moderation from "Review Team" members pushes a political agenda. If you disagree you are automatically penalized for being "unkind and uncivil" even if you post news articles countering an agenda pushed by favored community members. All too often, almost daily racist and bigoted posts appear. Extremely biased, often bigoted leads (mods) are given this position of power and use it to target individuals they don't agree with or approve by nonstop reporting and voting against their most civil and benign of post. Nextdoor support ignores the complaints against abusive moderators and takes no action. Meanwhile peoples accounts are suspended willy nilly for the most trivial and benign comments. Right wing extremism runs rampant on every subject from groceries to subjects like jet aircraft contrails being government chemtrails or the increase in mosquitoes is due to Bill Gates releasing infected mosquitoes. Conspiracy nonsense runs rampant. Nextdoor paranoia runs amok on any strange face in a neighborhood. The content is usually very boring. In my area it is mostly about bad contractors, people's barking dogs and similar things. Their ''discipline" people are extremely haphazard. You never really know what post they will or will not like. Liars, scam artist, busy bodies, bullies. This site is for people who should seek counseling but instead get on here and talk about nonsense it is a bunch of hypocrites and plastic humans acting like good neighbors. It's for those who have no life and have to communicate with anyone who will give them any kind of attention. Censorship. I don't like their customer service. Jeffrey needs his eyes checked.
