About Send an encrypted file over WhatsApp, email, or a public link — no password travels with it. Only your recipient can open it. That is EncryptPro: Windows encryption without containers, vaults, or mounting drives. Right-click any file or folder to encrypt — folders stay browsable. Double-click to open it in Word, Excel, or VLC — a 10GB video plays in seconds via streaming decryption. Originals are shredded automatically, unrecoverable. Organize encrypted files into custom security groups — Explorer file icons show group and lock state at a glance. Sharing uses PGP-style key pairs set up once. Teams use C2 connections: encrypt once, every member reads it. No key management. Only the creator needs a paid plan. Zero-knowledge by design — keys derive from passwords we never receive, so your data is unreadable to us. Even if we vanished, Viewer Only Mode opens your files offline, forever. Free version is permanent, no card. Paid from $4/month — 14-day money-back guarantee. About Proton Drive is the all-in-one workspace for storing sensitive data and collaborating with your teams, clients, and partners. Collaborate securely without compromising control: Share client files, contracts, and sensitive business documents with full end-to-end encryption. You control who can access what. Set passwords, add expiry dates,
or revoke access anytime. Protect all your business data:
Plans come with 1 TB of storage allowance per user, giving your team enough space for all their files and docs. You can always add more storage later if needed. Simplify compliance across industries: Proton Drive supports GDPR, HIPAA, NIS2, DORA, and ISO 27001 compliance out of the box, and has been successfully audited for SOC 2 Type II. There's no need for custom configurations or third-party tools, as this helps you meet regulatory standards with minimal effort.

Pros from Real Users Pros The web page designs are fresh, uncluttered and easy to read. I currently use MEGA and I'm considering paying Proton for full-service VPN, e-mail and Drive combined. The price for 500 GB of combined storage is around $7 / month prepaid on a 2-year basis. I think that's very reasonable if you're willing to commit. I'm not a sharer but a daily user of cloud storage and Proton Drive's features suit me very well. The 'share' link leads recipients to a page with two options: Download Folder and Get your own Proton Drive. The shared folder is linked to the second option, not the first. But not reliably, only for those already logged in to the Proton service. For anyone else, the first option must be used, and then many more steps to access the actual file(s).
