I’ve deposited approximately $10,000 in various cryptocurrencies and found the trading execution to be reliable. The platform allows for quick order placements and offers a variety of order types including market, limit, and stop orders. This flexibility is crucial for both high-frequency traders and long-term investors. I’ve traded major assets like BTC and ETH, as well as lesser-known altcoins. The liquidity for major pairs is excellent, with tight spreads and minimal slippage, which is ideal for executing larger trades. For example, when trading $1,000 worth of BTC, the slippage was less than 0.1%, which is quite competitive. Exmo takes security seriously, employing standard measures like two-factor authentication (2FA) and cold storage for the majority of funds. I haven’t encountered any security issues, which is reassuring. Additionally, Exmo requires KYC (Know Your Customer) verification for withdrawals exceeding $1,000. This process involves submitting identification documents and can take up to a few days. While this adds an extra step, it’s a necessary precaution that enhances overall security. Cons High withdrawal fees Slower customer support response during busy periods Trading fee discounts only with premium :( Occasional delays in withdrawals KYC required for withdrawals Outdated design, could be better Fees are higher compared to some other platforms. KYC requirements might feel intrusive. The platform charges a 0.2% fee for both makers and takers, which is in line with industry standards. Withdrawal fees vary depending on the cryptocurrency. For instance, withdrawing Bitcoin incurs a fee of 0.0005 BTC, while Ethereum withdrawals cost 0.01 ETH. Although these fees are not the lowest in the industry, they are manageable given the platform’s liquidity and trading features. My experience with Exmo’s customer support has been mixed. While the support team is knowledgeable, response times can be slower than desired, particularly during high-traffic periods. On average, I’ve experienced a response time of around 24 hours for less urgent queries. For urgent issues, it’s recommended to use their live chat feature, which provides faster assistance.
