Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Domo is a software that is great to have because of its amazing implementation and configuration of the data. It is currently a software with many capabilities that help understand the data in an efficient way in the form of graphs and reports that are easy to read. There are many tools that are great to use in Domo, but the most relevant ones definitely are, firstly, is the reporting capabilities that the software has, it allows us to have constant insights on our data in real time, because these can be automated and delivered to our team at the right time without us needing to generate each report individually, the software takes care of this aspect which is something I enjoy a lot. It is possible to have the reports be customized and shown in different ways than the usual report and that aspect is helpful to make the reports more intuitive and make better presentations of these in order to reach more people to understand the data. Secondly, I like the fact that Domo prioritizes security over anything else, it has the option to limit access to those members who are not allowed to see different kinds of information and provides a sense of hierarchy that every business should have, it is easy to customize access and provide things like passwords to different data files that are stored in the software; additionally, the data is encrypted so we can use the software peacefully without feeling scared of losing anything or getting hacked and getting all our precious and vital information robbed, a business is just like a human and we can't treat the data lightly, we should be careful and choose a nice software that will care for it. Thirdly, because it updates in real time and we are constantly getting reports on it, Domo has the ability to send out notifications via email and devices to know when the data has changed, this allows us to pay more attention to the changes that happen inside our business and how the metrics are changing in a bad or good way, allowing us to respond to these changes very quickly and not miss out any important event that might be happening, these alerts are very customizable and can be set for every type of data or only set it up for specific data, which makes it even better as we are able to be aware of our own projects that we are working on and each member can be only aware of what they need to be aware of without any distractions or unimportant data to them crowding their notifications and dashboard, it is an useful tool that I find myself using a lot just to keep track of my own projects inside the business.
  • Complete flexibility to analyse data in so many ways and formats. Accessibility to share tools and solutions across our business.
  • Easy to build cards. Sumo cards are super useful to analyze large amounts of data, Upsert is a great feature and very helpful with SAP BW as a source system.
  • Domo is extremely easy to use and has become an integral part of our day to day. It adds the ability to combine datasets from lots of different locations and datatypes into one seamless dataset that gives a holistic view.
  • Domo takes all the power of traditional SQL based reporting and makes it so that anyone with decent Excel experience can quickly get into the weeds of their data. Magic ETL 2.0 is intuitive, powerful, and extremely fast. Card building is as easy as building a pivot table in Excel with near unlimited ability to customize.

Cons

  • In my opinion, Domo still has a long road to go before becoming an exceptional software. This is because I find that the graphical part of the software is not as developed as it needs to be and they should really include more options when it comes to the creation of graphs to include more analytical power and more organized data into the graphs. For me, Domo lacks in this area and the tools are not really optimized for the customization of the graphs, it is a bit limited and it does not feel like they are taking advantage of the possibilities that the software has, it is capable of doing so much more but as of right not they have not updated and improved the creation of the graphs, I would like to have total control over the data and display it in a way that is more advantageous and use different data to build different sets of graphs that work together in a comparative way, it is an essential need to have this kind of tool but Domo only offers limited tools that do not go very far than providing only the superficial aspects of a graphical software, it would be good to go in so much more depth and upgrade the graphs tools to provide a better experience for the users and ensure that the data is being analyzed the right way. Also, it takes a good bandwidth connection to be able to use the software, usually we do have a good bandwidth connection so it does not present as an issue to us, but I think that it would be really nice if it could be optimized to be able to be used in a not so good connection, that way if we happen to use Domo on the go and we don't have a good connection as in our workplace, we can still use and create graphs.
  • Finding where to get started among all of the options!
  • Disappointed that it cant handle incremental (Delta) loads. But now with UPSERT, it is no more a concern.
  • We work very closely with several other organizations and transferring dashboards and datasets between organizations to avoid reinventing the wheel is extremely cumbersome and time-consuming.
  • One feature that I have yet to find in Domo is the ability to see the underlying SQL being written based on the Magic ETL work that you are doing. I believe this would take it to another level and give people with less SQL experience a chance to learn what their drag and drop approach is really doing behind the scenes.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • One of the best things about Zoho Analytics is the seamless user usage graph that it provides. Also, the in page heatmap and analytics and very much detailed which I like very much. Additionally, the email templates are very good and the integration with other Zoho platforms is also very much useful.
  • It is impressive how easy the interface is to use which allows users to create custom reports and dashboards with ease. Drag and drop functionality, combined with a variety of widgets and components, makes it easy for users to visualize their data and get insights quickly. This means that even those without technical knowledge can use Zoho Analytics to produce sophisticated reports. Zoho Analytics has the ability to support multiple data sources. This means users can integrate cloud applications, databases, files, feeds, and web APIs into their analysis, providing a more complete view of their data. Zoho Analytics also integrates seamlessly with other Zoho products such as Zoho CRM, Zoho Desk, Zoho Books, and more, making it an ideal tool for businesses that use multiple Zoho products. Also this platform provides advanced analytics features such as predictive analytics, machine learning, natural language processing, and sentiment analysis. This allows users to gain a deeper understanding of their data and make more informed decisions. Additionally, users can write SQL queries or use the built-in formula engine to perform complex calculations and transformations, giving them full control over their data analysis. Zoho Analytics enable users to share and collaborate on reports and dashboards with their team members or external stakeholders. This means multiple team members can work on the same report, ensuring everyone has access to the most up-to-date information. Users can also embed reports and dashboards in websites or apps, or export them to various formats, making it easy to share data with others. Also, this platform offers affordable pricing plans that suit different needs and budgets. The free plan is a great option for small businesses or those who want to try out the platform before committing to a paid plan. Paid plans offer additional features and functionality, making them an ideal choice for businesses of all sizes.
  • Zoho Analytics has a valid system that increases the required data systems and brings a substantial ways of business intelligence. More so, Zoho Analytics has the right division in matters data integration
  • + It fully integrates with almost all Zoho products which seems to make sense as it is from the same company, however, there are other Zoho solutions which this platform does not integrate well or simply does not have solutions that integrate with each other. However, for the rest, if it can be integrated, it works fine and I don't have to import any data manually since everything is interconnected so the information you have on this platform can be fully available within another Zoho service without having to configure nothing. In addition, you can have integrations with platforms outside of Zoho and they work very well, you just have to look for the applications available for integration with Zoho Analytics which adapts to each need. + It is very customizable, you can have multiple options to control the flowchart or any graph within the interface of this platform. In addition, reports can be generated depending on what the user needs to not have other information or add all the information required from the results returned. Another thing is that you can have different workspaces in relation to the characteristics that are needed, this has allowed me to have a better workflow and not mix the different tasks that I perform, but rather everything is kept separate, but within one same platform. + I have a great capacity to load different types of files for databases in flat files or any spreadsheet which starts from .XLS, .CSV., XML, JSON or any type of files similar to the ones I just finished to mention. This gave me the possibility of going from an outdated database that I had within my company and being able to import them into this platform without having to make many changes or having to do a total conversion since it could take me a long time since I handled different tables of data in different formats. So when you want to implement Zoho Analytics to any company that has a database similar to the one my company had, it is simply easy to import all these files.
  • I like the accuracy of this software. It allows us to analyze our business data and get accurate insights.

Cons

  • I do not have any major dislike or discomfort with Zoho Analytics
  • It comes to have a steep learning curve that beginners can experience while using the platform. Users who are not familiar with data analysis concepts and techniques may have difficulty navigating the interface and creating custom reports and dashboards. This could lead to frustration and a steep learning curve, leading to slower adoption of the platform. Performance is slow and sometimes crashes when working with large or complex data sets. This can be a major problem for users who work with large amounts of data, as it can slow down their workflow and affect their productivity. While Zoho Analytics is designed to handle large data sets, some users have found that the platform struggles with particularly complex data sets, resulting in slow performance. Also, Zoho Analytics has limited customization options for some features like charts, maps, themes, etc. Some users have expressed a need for more templates, widgets, and connectors to make it easier to create custom reports and dashboards. While Zoho Analytics offers many customization options, some users may have limited ability to create truly unique and personalized dashboards and reports. Zoho Analytics does not support some advanced features that are available in other BI tools, such as data lineage, data governance, data cataloging, etc. This can be a major drawback for users who require these features for their data analysis needs. While Zoho Analytics provides many advanced analytics features, it may not be the best option for users who require these more advanced features.
  • Zoho Analytics has streamlined all the data systems, with valid ways of increased business performance. The platform has eliminated all the challenges.
  • - It gets a bit complicated when using it for the first time, it has a bit of a steep learning curve, by this I mean that learning to use its features is not easy to learn and understand everything. I would like them to improve accessibility so that anyone can more easily understand how to take advantage of this tool and that not only large companies can see the results. Although there is a free or basic version, this does not imply reducing its difficulty, this means that, even if you are paying for a basic plan, it is still difficult to take advantage of Zoho Analytics from the first moment and if you do not have the best knowledge to apply strategies According to the results obtained with this platform, then it will not be possible to obtain a good return on investment. - It does not have access for third parties within this platform, by this I mean being able to include clients within Zoho Analytics with less access control. The only way to be able to do this is to have to pay as one more user within the account. I don't like this since I am paying as a user which I was able to control a large part of the tools of this platform and that is what I do not want the client to do, it would be good to have a number of clients who can have access depending on the plan that it be paid, so that you do not have to have expenses for each client that wants to enter this platform, but should include them in each plan. - I have not found an easy way to automatically share Zoho reports to any cloud platform. In general, I do not want the generated reports to be sent to any email, but simply to store them and from there they are sent to different recipients automatically or when they need them, having their defined access to the reports of course. With this I can store the reports without having to make manual backups or only have Zoho for this work since within my company everything is handled with caution in case of any data loss on any platform. - Perhaps the technical support should improve a bit with regard to problem solving and response time. Currently the help system of this platform is a bit poor in providing solutions and I don't like having to wait so long for answers, so if it would speed up the process of giving answers more it would be good for me and my company since I can count on everything moment with the help of Zoho when any doubt arises or I have a problem that my work team does not know how to solve at the time.
  • There is no dislikes when it comes to using Zoho Analytics.
