Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Descript basically creates all our content from one file. Video is easier to edit and then becomes audio, text, social posts and snippets. Seriously, all video should be edited this way. Cons It's often being updated which is great, but the timeline editing of the actual video effects are a little lacking. Supports AI voices from Eleven Labs. Basic features for making videos, uploading content. Although as a user you can upload written content, chose a style and then have images and video shorts automatically applied they will need to be gone through and changes because they most often do not match up with the written content. It has a simple UI and produces quick and readable videos. You can have everything generated for you, or mix in your own content. The speed and quality of the videos is very adequate and I use this very frequently. Pictory is fast, and reliable, and it couldn't be simpler to use. They are constantly adding features without adding bloat. We couldn't be happier. It's one of our best-kept secrets. Accurate scene selection. Easy to use. Excellent Customer Support. Abundant Editing Options. Fast Rendering. Cons Currently uses only Existing stock library to create videos. Should also create videos for Character / Imagination. Audio integration doesn't work and customer service is unable to fix, won't refund money. Support is via email and during India hours only. You will need to go through each and every screen of your video to be sure the best and accurate images are allocated by the platform. Most often you will need to manually change them. Also very important that when you download completed videos that you check the audio sync. Because it doesn't work. The feature that is creating a script from a blogpost is a bit clumsy and requires a lot of tweaking, I normally and up in the other part where you have more control. If this would be properly editable it would be the perfect solution for me. I can't think of any cons, to be honest with you. There are not many negative things I found in the tool. It's just that sometimes when they add new features, there's a lag. But, I think that negligible.
