Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Descript basically creates all our content from one file. Video is easier to edit and then becomes audio, text, social posts and snippets. Seriously, all video should be edited this way. Cons It's often being updated which is great, but the timeline editing of the actual video effects are a little lacking.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Very good platform for recording videos for many purposes like meetings, intros, video demos and much more. Very light weight, desktop platform, the extension also makes it fairly easy to record anywhere on your desktop or browser. Easy to use, quick way to send messages that would take a long time to type, like how I can track to see if the video was viewed. Loom is SUPER easy to use. It's by far the easiest way to take a video or screen capture (with narration) and share quickly with anyone. Our teachers use it to record lessons and share them with their students - all they need to do is email or post the link to their video. It's great that they are just sharing the link, not the actual video file, so there is nothing to store or complicating file sharing service. Loom offers their product free for schools which is a great and generous service. We use Loom primarily to train team members on new technologies or procedures. I love how easy it is to make an easily accessible video we both a video window and a nice big screen share. Loom is a slick product, easy to use and good interface. I find it very helpful to record notes for my team on various task that they can use for reference. Also their transcript feature is very good, I often use it to record calls on Zoom instead. Cons Not necessarily a negative, but there is a time limit on recording if you don't have a pricing plan, which is fairly cheap, starting at just $10 a month. Is sometimes slow switching from tab to tab quickly, but not a huge issue. Loom is dependent on the Internet as part of the process of recording and saving the video content. While very rare, this can cause trouble as the Internet isn't always reliable. No big complaints. The tool is fairly easy to use, but could be a bit more intuitive when you first start using. No strong cons. The UI of their interface could be a bit more organized in terms of folder structures and the workspace, but otherwise it's a breeze to use.
