Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Great reporting. Serial number tracking. Lots of options. When it works I love it. Too bad it does not work often enough. Now I am at least sevens in and it’s basically unusable and I am getting blown off by tech support for the hundredth time! Now I gotta try to figure out how to change software companies and I’ve got all these years of data.
  • On a positive note, the online integration of Form 4473 works smoothly once you're familiar with the process.
  • Fast response although it's slowed down considerably from 10 minutes to almost an hour. For the times That i did Talk to a CS member they were helpful
  • Their POS could be a great product if they actually tested it fully and considered the input of their users. Their YouTube videos are well made and can be helpful. CC processing ran smoothly.
  • *One stop solution (coreSTORE, coreCLEAR, coreFIRE now called coreFORCE Lite, coreILLA, their marketing (CRM/CRI) management. *Patience of the owners and customer service *Constantly evolving *Pricing coreWARE is always looking to improve their services. They listen to their customers wants and needs and if enough dealers have similar requests they integrate and update the change(s) KEEP IT UP COREWARE!!! You provide a great, caring, and customer based service.

Cons

  • They love to change things and only level 1 AI bot level tech support available. Honestly, the real AI bought is as bad as helpful as the true tech-support. Years ago we got real tech support when they changed things and broke them. Now only messages like try restarting the computer and blaming our equipment. They refuse to call and ask us to run screen recordings to send to them but we are not sure what to even record. We run out of two locations on multiple different computers, two different internet providers, and we ended up replacing all of our network equipment. We only had issue with their software but was constantly told probably just our equipment or our ISP. Oh yeah I even upgraded to fiber internet at the main store and they still said probably just slow internet is the issue.
  • It has been a frustrating experience with Core and its required interface software. The accounting functionality within Core is extremely limited, which makes integration with third-party software not just helpful, but absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, that's where the problems really begin. Some specific ongoing issues include: 1. Invoices defaulting to "Undeposited Funds" without clear reason. 2. Data inconsistently transferring—some days it simply doesn't, with no explanation. 3. Correcting a receiving report creates a duplicate rather than replacing the original, resulting in errors and duplications in the Bound Book. 4. Vendor invoices often fail to appear in QuickBooks. 5. There is no warning for duplicate invoice numbers, which increases the risk of accounting errors. 6. Customer support has been extremely slow—often taking weeks, months, or in some cases, over a year to provide meaningful assistance. Reaching an actual person when issues arise is nearly impossible, and the lack of real-time support has been a major source of frustration. 7. The interface software and Core frequently pass blame back and forth when issues arise, which only delays resolution and adds to the confusion.
  • Some tabs and buttons don't do their assigned jobs. Asking for help to get referred to a How to step by step. Some buttons on corestore is literally pointless if I have to manually do everything. Customer help has considerably slowed down.
  • Support is horrible. POS is glitchy and non-intuitive.
  • *Ease of transition and Learning curve- once you understand how the system works it’s a great experience. You have to hang in there for you to understand that this is a truly sophisticated system and with that said you need to be patient. They sure had to have patience with me and all my questions, chats, and tickets *live domestic phone customer service (most likely cost prohibited) •some bugs need to be addressed regarding in-store inventory and inventory brought into the store from online purchases. They show available fore sale, though allocated.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I like that the input of new products is simple, direct and without much hitch. Additionally the payment processing screen is pretty simple.
  • When I signed up for Square, they sent via mail a complimentary square device to plug into my iPhone to take payments on the go. You can also take payments on line. I have linked up Apptoto (to schedule consultations online) with square and my clients are able to schedule and confirm their own appointments and make a payment using square. It's very simple and easy to use.
  • I used to use square to do all of my purchases for Lularoe, when that was a fleeting thing. Worked really well and was easy for the customers to use at flea markets.
  • Adore the ability to take credit cards at events when I sell my books. Easy to use and set up and keep track of my inventory.
  • We used a number of payment platforms before switching to Square. It's been great for our school to have something with a number of ways to collect payments. We take parent credit cards for athletics or spirit wear in the front office using the terminal, and can take payments for student fees, field trips, and extracurriculars in our online store.

Cons

  • It’s pretty inconvenient that with each new update, if not done right away, the older version will crash. Additionally - with the newest versions/updates you have to get a newer model of iPad, which you wouldn’t know until you have to call customer service and they inform you of such.
  • Ha! Wished they gave more complimentary square devices to plug to additional iPhone. Honestly, there are no cons for this product.
  • Needs stable wifi but that is understandable. You can't process payments via card without it anywhere.
  • None really. A really good product that I've used for years now with no problems.
  • Our website used to be powered through Squarespace, and we had to use a third-party software called JotForm in order to connect the two platforms. One of the things we wanted to do was collect donations, and we couldn't embed a Square item directly.
