About

SkyboxKit is a browser-based AI skybox and panorama generator for game developers and 3D creators. It turns text prompts or up to four reference images into 360-degree environments. Users can inspect results in an interactive viewer, flat panorama view, and seam-check view, then download a 2:1 PNG panorama or six cubemap faces in a ZIP. These outputs are environment images, not 3D models or HDR files; a separate HDRI generator exports Radiance HDR files for 3D workflows. A free browser-based converter turns existing 2:1 panoramas into cubemap faces locally, without AI credits. AI generation uses one-time credit packs starting at $9.99 for 70 credits, valid for one month; panorama and cubemap exports from generated skyboxes use no extra credits, and packs do not renew automatically.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • What I value most in Codra Panorama Suite is its scope. Its capabilities extend well beyond SCADA: it is a complete OT/IT data management software platform, combining SCADA, Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), Historian and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). This is a well-thought-out integration; for instance, their desktop and web-based HMI share the same configuration, so you don't have to do it twice. This makes it particularly well suited to Unified Control Centres (UCC), bringing information from different systems, manufacturers and sites into one operational view. Its vendor independence and extensive interoperability allow organisations to build on their existing infrastructure and progressively connect additional systems. The depth of integration is, for me, a key differentiator compared with platforms centred on a major equipment manufacturer’s ecosystem. There is considerable freedom in application design, data modelling, interfaces and operational workflows, allowing integrators to adapt the application to the project’s requirements. The online help and customer portal are very useful, with extensive documentation and video tutorials. PanoChat makes this information easier to access by answering natural-language questions and directing users to the relevant help sections. The Panorama integrator community also provides a valuable exchange area for sharing and downloading best practices, demonstrations, templates and reusable components or plugins (UserClasses). Technical support is responsive and helpful, with assistance available in both French and English. Latest announcements about AI look smartly integrated and very promising to save development time for SI and to save money eventually for the end user (resource overconsumption and equipment lifespan extension)
  • Panorama Suite is a monitoring platform that adapts to projects of any size. Whether for an industrial process machine, a production line, a workshop, or an entire building, it offers a comprehensive solution supporting numerous communication protocols for industrial controllers (Siemens, Schneider, etc.), connected devices (SOFREL, IJINUS, etc.), and many others. Its native object-oriented development makes updates extremely simple and flexible. Whether you’re developing a standard solution or a custom design, there are no limits to how you can extend your application. This ensures the reliability and repeatability of functionality, optimizes functional testing, and allows for deployments with complete peace of mind. Panorama Suite unifies all facilities—whether located in a single building, on a campus, or spread across multiple cities—through a single platform. As a European product backed by recognized French cyber Security certification (ANSSI), Panorama Suite is the preferred choice of IT Department and for sensitive infrastructure sectors such as food and beverage plant factory and defense

Cons

  • The freedom and breadth of the platform come with a learning curve. The development environment can initially feel intimidating, particularly for integrators whose background is primarily automation or electrical engineering rather than software development. Proper initial training is needed to get started efficiently and establish sound development practices. This training is paid, so its cost and the associated learning time should be included in the project budget.
  • Although implementing the solution is very simple, its extensive capabilities within a complex infrastructure may require a learning curve to ensure optimal and efficient use. Fortunately, support isn’t limited to the implementation phase. From the very beginning of the project, comprehensive documentation, demonstrations, training, expert technical support, industry experts, and a vast network of partners enable you to calmly evaluate the various options. Recent AI-based support tools further strengthen this ecosystem by facilitating access to information and the preparation of technical decisions from the preliminary design phase through implementation.
