About

CodeNOW is the DevOps platform for businesses that want the same excellence in software delivery as digital leaders without the large IT investments and the distraction from their core business. CodeNOW is listed by Gartner as a DevOps Value Stream Delivery Platform (DevOps VSDP), which Gartner sees entering the mainstream in 2023. CodeNOW is a cloud-native, cloud-agnostic DevOps VSDP that helps companies deliver natively scalable, highly available, resilient digital services that run safely on multiple clouds. CodeNOW integrates into a single cohesive product over 40 battle-tested open-source multi-point solutions (Gitlab, Swagger, Karate, SonarQube, Nexus, Tekton, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Istio, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and more) and covers the full software delivery life cycle. CodeNOW customers experience no vendor lock-in nor maintenance costs (PaaS model). They do more with the team they already have vs. recruiting of extra expensive, hard-to-find DevOps engineers

About

Qubes OS is a free and open-source, security-oriented operating system for single-user desktop computing. Qubes OS leverages Xen-based virtualization to allow for the creation and management of isolated compartments called qubes. These qubes, which are implemented as virtual machines (VMs), have specific Purposes with a predefined set of one or many isolated applications, for personal or professional projects, to manage the network stack, the firewall, or to fulfill other user-defined purposes. Qubes brings to your personal computer the security of the Xen hypervisor, the same software relied on by many major hosting providers to isolate websites and services from each other. Can't decide which Linux distribution you prefer? Still, need that one Windows program for work? With Qubes, you're not limited to just one OS. With Whonix integrated into Qubes, using the Internet anonymously over the Tor network is safe and easy.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • The ease of daily tasks, which I have to do as developer/architect. Compared to CLI tools, here I have Self Serving Portal, which guides me through necessary steps. Those steps also have enough levels of freedom to support variety of daily tasks. So we can focus more on development of business features rather than dancing around infrastructure and invest in own infrastructure / platform engineers.

Cons

  • Well, hard to find. There is always list of features. CodeNOW does care about customers, so eventual suggestions are properly maintained and we know, when such are enqueued to development and when is released.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Best Xen integration i have see, very great job... Xen is a powerful paravirtualization and virtualization!
  • Security. Support, En, Ge, Sp. It, and.. Diversification: you can to work with 4 of linux distros, as your preference Like ubuntu, ded, fedora, Arch, ... and windows if you have to.

Cons

  • I search, but I do not think so, if i can find great problem in this linux os.
  • You will miss Manjaro ;-)) You will start thinking in a way that put at the first place the security of your data, keeping it separate from dangerous websites or socials.
