Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • If you are IT professional (ideally with previous ETL/DI experience) then within relatively small amount of time, you can create powerful data transformation pipelines. This tool boasts rich capabilities to automate your data transformations and publish the results - files, classic DB targets, message queues, API end-points and others.
  • - Visual style of designing data transformations which which can be augmented by writing more complex logic as simple script. - Great monitoring options to find bottlenecks and/or pinpoint errors. - Built-in Parallelism increasing throughput. - Excellent support team that provides useful advice. - Regular updates through new releases - bugs and security vulnerabilities addressed quickly

Cons

  • The list of built-in connectors is less impressive than with the bigger competition. Limited offering in terms of adjacent fields (MDM, Data Replication)
  • - Initial learning curve for non-technical user - Their concept of metadata differs from other tools - Smaller user community compared to the "big guys"
