About

CloudMounter is a must-have tool for laptop users with low-capacity SSD-drives. You can easily mount most popular clouds as disks without having to download online files on the hard drive. As well as secure cloud files with data encryption. Choose one of your Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive accounts and manage them in Finder for free.

About

Simple for the Novice, Powerful for the Pro. Access SharePoint and OneDrive within the applications you already use. Easily edit Adobe, text, and all versions of Office. Box, S3, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and more can be accessed right from your Windows Explorer or Mac Finder. WebDrive is the FTP client you already know how to use. Map FTP and SFTP servers as a drive letter for productivity and convenience. WebDrive is the WebDAV client with options to mount at startup and lock server files. It works the way the native Windows WebDAV redirector should work. Reduce installation and setup time for large implementations. Customize and push the settings out to all your users with no need to configure each PC. Improve security by accessing your remote files without syncing and filling your device with copies of your files—a major security risk if your device is lost or stolen.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I had the OneDrive and Dropbox clients running at login plus the AWS console open half the day for S3. Now all of it mounts as drives and nothing mirrors to disk unless I actually open a file. On a 256GB MacBook that's the difference between constantly playing storage tetris and just not thinking about it. S3 in Finder is the part I'd pay for alone - drag a file into a bucket like it's a folder, no console, no cli.
  • I was able to stop running the native One Drive, Dropbox and Box apps on my Mac, replacing them with the very low profile CloudMounter. This provided a lower memory impact and faster loading time of the OS at login. When I had a question about the software, the response from tech support was prompt and accurate. They even followed up to make sure I was able to implement their solution.
  • Integrates nicely with native Mac Finder. Doesn't get in the way. Not bloated with unnecessary features.
  • Ease of use, it does what it says it’ll do in a simple fashion. Was able to mount my Google Drive effectively.
  • Love the support. The really like to help even it it costs much time to solve. The product is also great as it solves all my network connections online and with servers. It's much faster than the native connection form Mac, especially with webdav.

Cons

  • Ran into some small quirk in the first week, can't recall what exactly - whatever it was, it hasn't come back.
  • Once I had to open the program after launching it to manually mount a cloud directory. This was after migrating my user account to a new computer so some hiccups were to be expected. Fortunately, all my authorizations and permissions carried over.
  • Not much to complain about. Sometimes less is more.
  • None. It did as it claimed without any downsides to it.
  • It could take some time, but eventually it's solved.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Reliable program great features at a great price. I have been using it for almost three years. I have remotely all my data and my work on the laptop.
  • WebDrive enables Windows Explorer level access to my scattered cloud storage providers. This is a huge benefit because the files are not stored/synced/duplicated locally like the OneDrive software does. They are genuinely kept in the cloud. It's like adding terabytes of storage to your PC.
  • Quick integration and ease of installation makes it a quick roll out to multiple team members. Great product.
  • WebDrive provides us with a reliable and fast remote connection to our office server. Easy installation and setup, and user-friendly interface.
  • Ease of connecting various cloud sources to a specific drive letter so I can use Explorer or Directory OPUS in an easier manner.

Cons

  • No cons. Reliable program great features at a great price. I have been using it for almost three years. I have remotely all my data and my work on the laptop.
  • I've been a WebDrive customer for years. Several times now after my support expires and my version is no longer current, the OneDrive functionality is lost. I have to re-purchase WebDrive and update the software to the latest version to fix the issue.
  • One user reported some synchronization issues, but this was isolated and appears to be due to slow internet speeds at one of our user's home office.
  • Nothing has presented as an issue for us during the time we have been using Webdrive.
  • Some of the options are a little mysterious as how they affect performance etc.
