About

BrowserStack is the world’s largest cloud platform for software testing, with 19 global data centers & 20,000+ real Android and iOS devices that power nearly 1 Billion tests a year. BrowserStack's end-to-end unified testing platform is focused on supporting all genres of testing & operations, from functional testing to visual testing, accessibility testing, performance testing, test observability, API testing, and more. Over 50,000 customers, including Amazon, Paypal, Well Fargo Bank, Nvidia, MongoDB, Pfizer, GE, Discovery, React JS, Apache, JQuery and several others rely on BrowserStack to test their web & mobile apps.

About

Selenium automates browsers. That's it! What you do with that power is entirely up to you. Primarily it is for automating web applications for testing purposes, but is certainly not limited to just that. Boring web-based administration tasks can (and should) also be automated as well. If you want to create robust, browser-based regression automation suites and tests, scale and distribute scripts across many environments, then you want to use Selenium WebDriver, a collection of language specific bindings to drive a browser - the way it is meant to be driven. If you want to create quick bug reproduction scripts, create scripts to aid in automation-aided exploratory testing, then you want to use Selenium IDE; a Chrome and Firefox add-on that will do simple record-and-playback of interactions with the browser. If you want to scale by distributing and running tests on several machines and manage multiple environments from a central point.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • My favorite things about BrowserStack are, primarily, the way it works, it doesn't require for a long learning curve in order to be able to use it and to implement all the amazing tools that it has, it is very easy to use and to maintain in order to keep using, it is the most user-friendly solution that adjusts to the users and I like it. Another thing that I really like about Browserstack is the way that it allows us to run multiple tests without limitations and it is able to run tests on older versions of browsers, it has an incredible archive of these versions and we are able to provide a nice experience for all users no matter the device they are visiting the page in, if old or new. It is able to provide different kinds of testing to ensure that the code is working properly, and it has so many tools that adjust the code to different environments, I like how it is possible to test on real actual browsers to get the full experience and to know if it actually works or not. With Browserstack, we are not only able to run all these tests on actual running browsers with all the settings, but we are also able to detect errors on the bug and proceed to do the debugging inside the software, with all the helpful tools that it has to complete this step, we are able to do the debugging for both mobile and desktop devices which is something that I really appreciate as we are able to do this in only one platform and don't require to switch softwares.
  • BrowserStack is one of my favorite product that provide to test the software of multiple devices and browsers. It is being use for software development and testing purpose. - We can test the product on multiple devices and browsers (Mac, Window, iOS, Android etc..) - Highly reliable cloud infrastructure that effortlessly scales as testing needs grow. - It is very useful for developer and tester. - Easy to use and user-friendly! - It help to improve the product quality. - We can use it for documentation purpose as well. - Cheapest tool according to features.

Cons

  • BrowserStack is a great solution that adds much more ease to the process of testing and debugging, with all the tools that it has it feels very comfortable to work with. However, I would like the prices to be more accessible to the general public, BrowserStack currently offers different pricing options but they are still very high and not affordable at all, especially for small businesses like us that are making a great use of the software and seeing results. A more affordable plan with less tools that are not often used would be a great option to implement this. Other than that, I do not have any dislikes towards this software and I think it works perfectly.
  • Sometimes browser speed create problem for me. Rest of the things looks excellent.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Simple record and playback user interface A java native program and also support languages like python, perl, php, etc

Cons

  • The only limitation with this is that It is only available as an add-on with Chrome and Firefox.
