Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • This is a great browser, some sites you visit will just bombard you with non stop ads and pop ups and this blocks it - I use it on my Macbook pro and on my iPhone as well as my iPad pro, so I am very well versed with how this browser works and use it more often than I do Safari, although there are some things Safari does that I wish Brave does and I will list them in the Cons below. But the ad block feature, the VPN, the ability to sync across other devices (I have it sync'd to my Macbook Pro, iPad, and iPhone so I can open up tabs etc that I am viewing there - but there's an issue with that as well).
  • This browser has a default blocking of ads and trackers, Brave offers a more secure and private browsing experience than many other browsers. In addition, Brave's HTTPS Everywhere feature ensures that connections to websites are always encrypted, protecting users from potential security risks. For those who want to browse the web anonymously, Brave also offers Tor integration. This feature allows users to browse the Internet without revealing their identity or location, which can be particularly useful for those who are concerned about their privacy. In addition, Brave offers a selection of privacy-friendly search engines, including Brave Search, DuckDuckGo, and Qwant, allowing users to choose the option that best suits their needs. I like the speed of this browser. By blocking third-party scripts and ads, the browser reduces page load times and offers a faster browsing experience than many other browsers. In fact, according to some tests, Brave is three times faster than Chrome and six times faster than Firefox and Safari on some websites. Plus, Brave's minimalist user interface prioritizes performance and ease of use, making it a joy to use. Brave's playlist feature is a prominent offering that allows users to add audio and video from various sources to their playlist and listen online or offline. It's a fantastic addition that sets Brave apart from other browsers.
  • Brave is an excellent browser to be used as a data-intensive browser. Brave has fascinated me because it has an extremely low consumption on any type of device, it does not matter if you are using it on a computer or on a mobile device, in the same way the consumption will always be low compared to other internet browsers, this helps a lot since I have been able to access other applications, have applications or tabs in the background while Brave is running, the approximate and default consumption is 150MB on computers. I liked that Brave allows me to enjoy a built-in ad blocker, this ad blocker is fully modifiable, you can block ads from specific pages or you can also set it to block all ads in general, also if you want to disable this feature, you can you do it. Brave has a user-friendly design, the process of deleting data and Cookies is processed in just a few seconds, compared to platforms like Opera or Chrome that take up to 5 minutes to delete a browsing history.
  • Brave has been a really useful browser for our entire company, mainly because it has allowed us to have better results in all searches and has provided us with fluidity and agility when performing each search, one of the main features that I have liked about that browser is the upload is that it has when working on my computer, I have noticed that while this browser works on my computer, the general experience on my computer is not affected at any time, since this browser consumes very little resource of it and causes you to have a good experience while searching on the Internet. Another thing I like about your browser is that it has immediate compatibility with each of the stations that are available in the Google store, because this browser is developed on a Chromium basis. Each of the rooms available in the Google store are compatible with that browser, which means that you can have a much more complete experience with the installation of extensions that are useful for any type of search. Like the extensions, you can also speak any theme that is available in the Google store, that helps a lot if I want to customize the general interface of this browser, I have loved the right to be able to install any theme available in the Google store, without any limit. The last feature I liked about your browser is that it pays me to browse, this browser provides me with a number of specific coins each time I did a search within that browser, these coins I can collect and then I can sell them on the market, I have never been using a browser before that pays me coins to use it, this is really new to me but it has helped me a lot.
  • Brave is a browser that for me is considered one of the best today for its ability to function, I have noticed that this browser behaves much more fluidly than any other browser, I have made many comparisons regarding the speed of several browsers, and I really choose this one, I have been very impressed with the behavior of this browser in complicated situations, for example, when there are several tabs open. One of the main things that I like about this browser is the fluidity with which it works, you don't have to worry about opening multiple tabs simultaneously, the browser has never slowed down, and I've also noticed that the consumption within my card Randy has not increased excessively while these tabs and mountains are working, this is a very important point in favor. The second thing I like about this platform is that you can earn money while using it, you can earn Tokens just by surfing the internet, these tokens can be exchanged into cash quickly. It will not be features that I would like this browser is its ability to install any type of extension available in the Google store, this compatibility is quite positive, since this browser does not have its own store, but is fully compatible with all intentions that you can install in Google Chrome, so if you have any favorite extension in Google Chrome, you can install it in this browser without any problem.

Cons

  • Ok now to list the Cons... Battery/Memory - This thing will kill your device's usage, I have seen how quickly this drains my battery on my phone and Macbook lately with the Battery app and it's pretty rough. I don't really understand how either given this wasn't an issue until maybe a few updates ago. Sync - While great, it kind of stinks. It won't let you access the history even if you've literally selected it to sync, so if I visited a site and now forgot what it was and Brave crashed on my iPhone (it tends to crash at times), I can't open up the option to see my iPhone Brave window on my Macbook and see the history of what it was, nor does it really sync the tabs all that well. I had 5 tabs open (sports tabs I was checking hockey scores) and then on my phone I had a bunch of EDC Tools I was looking at buying, I wanted to open those tabs on my Macbook but all that would come up was the hockey ones that I closed and tried again and nothing. I had everything sync'd the way Brave wants you to with everything turned on to sync and yet, it doesn't. Also, Safari lets me "download linked file" while Brave does not, so if there's a download link to a font or a file that I am downloading and it's on my phone, I can have issues doing it on Brave, but on Safari it is easier to do "Download as" by just long pressing on the button and using "Download linked file" whereas Brave will have issues.
  • Perhaps Brave's most significant downside is its ad and tracker blocking feature, which deprives publishers and content creators of their main source of revenue. Although users can support them through Brave Rewards, this system is not widely adopted or accepted by the online community. As a result, some publishers may find it unethical or coercive to replace their ads with Brave's own ads. Also, some websites may not work properly with the Brave browser due to its ad blocking and tracker blocking features. Users may need to adjust their settings or whitelist certain sites to access them correctly. Some websites may not be optimized for the Brave browser, which can lead to slower loading times or other issues. This could be frustrating for users who depend on specific websites for work or pleasure. Compared to other browsers, Brave browser does not have many features or extensions that enhance its functionality or customization. For example, it doesn't have a built-in VPN or password manager, nor does it support streaming or syncing between devices. This could be a problem for users who rely on these features to enhance their browsing experience. Also, the limited crypto wallet that only supports Ethereum-based tokens may not be suitable for users using other cryptocurrencies.
  • The only problem I got in Brave is that this browser sometimes limits the loading of specific websites. When Brave tries to open websites that are very large or have a complex programming language like Javascript, this causes the browser to automatically stop loading these types of pages to take care of the overall performance of the computer and not affect the user experience. This seems a bit of a positive, but it is extremely negative that Brave stops the loading process of some websites that are heavy or take a long time to load correctly.
  • One of the main negative features of this browser is that currently it has a limited download speed, but since this browser is not able to recognize all the internet speed available on my computer, which causes the files to take much longer and downloading due to the fat speed that there is, What you lack negative has been very critical for me, since I would like to download any type of document or file quickly. Another of the negative things that was not close to your browser is that it has various problems when I run several tabs at the same time, this causes the browser to hang and I have to forcefully close it through the task manager, this has been a Critical problem for me, because in my company and the computers we use, Task to open various websites, and it is quite frustrating that this number hangs for no reason. I also did not like the learning curve that your browser has, since when you know what you are starting to use for the first time, you may have difficulties moving between the different options that this browser offers, since each of the configurations is very hidden and you have to know how to navigate within the browser to be able to access important functions.
  • The main negative thing that I perceived about this browser is regarding the limitation that it has when it comes to allowing the user to customize its interface, in another thing that there is no type of store available to install new themes to the browser, This is quite a big limitation, since sometimes users want to modify the general interface of the browser to feel much more comfortable, it would be amazing if they can install all kinds of themes and customize them as they wish, I hope that this function has been implemented and just also a store to get Brave's own themes and 3rd party themes. Also, another of the negative things that I noticed about this browser is that it limits the download speed of the files a bit, I have noticed that the download speed has been limited by approximately 50%, therefore, I do not recommend this browser if what you are looking for is speed when downloading new files, since you download it very limited.
