Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros There were no pros using this product beyond being able to download it initially. It didn't destroy the hard drive or otherwise make it impossible to erase the drive with another drive erase product. Inexpensive cost for a single use license. The BITRaser web site was fairly easy to download the ISO Image file. Nothing. Cons The link to RUFUS for creating a boot drive was broken. The tech support phone number provided never connected. The interface was very complicated to a layman trying to use it. I have used other programs in the past with no problems. Didn't make it clear that you needed a 2GB USB Drive Thumb drive would not load on the laptop to be wiped clean, needed to use new laptop (and still don't know why) Once boot disk was created on thumb drive it would not "authenticate" on the old laptop, so I needed to alter the boot configuration. Multiple attempts were needed, with tech support assistance, to load the executable file from the open-source application (RUFUS) and Lastly, it took multiple attempts to connect to the BITRaser server to start the disk scrubbing process. No refund. No real support. Scammers. Broken or dummy software.		Pros from Real Users Pros I really like how easy it is to work with th e tool, it comes with very nice option to clean your HDDs. Free trial version that does exactly what it's supposed to; good interface, transparent process during deletion; the files are truly deleted, which can't be said of all competing products; the various deletion modes allow for all desired options. I found the application easy to use, as I needed to securely wipe some old drives I'm not using anymore. I did not want to worry about security. Very presentable, simple to use & very effective. I'm using Secure Eraser since 2015; this should actually say everything about the usefulness and reliability of the product! The software is easy to use and includes a detailed help file that clearly explains all operating features of the program. I like that fact that Secure Eraser will permanently and irretrievably delete sensitive files/folders/drives and free space. The program is able to delete data with a choice of five levels of overwriting: these range from low up to 35 times! I found the method of overwriting files 3 or 7 times to be the most useful. The option for secure deletion of free space is particularly welcome with regard to the irretrievable deletion of files that were not securely deleted previously. I regularly used the Registry cleaning feature with no problems and the System Cleaning is a useful aspect of Secure Eraser that will delete temporary internet files, browsing history, cookies, and download details from browsers along with recent documents and recycle bin files in Windows itself. The simplicity and functionality of this software makes it easy to track data destruction and generate reports for data vendors. Secure Eraser is just that. Very easy to use and customize. Many algorithms to choose from that completely remove all traces of erased data. Pricing is fair and reasonable. I highly recommend the advanced version. Great secure security software, ease of use, great UI, fast, secure, reasonably priced and backed by a great company. I really like the different choices of security level available for each use. The product is very user friendly, and the customer support is excellent. I love the fast and consistent updating and info about the updates. I also love the clean, faster machine I receive after a SECURE ERASE SYSTEM CLEANING, which I do for my computer daily, like clockwork. I have been using the SYSTEM CLEANER for years on a regular basis and it has ALWAYS worked flawlessly. You have a right to be very proud of the design and function of this winning product.
