Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • A. Combination of AI, Graph and Stream Processing within database B. Quite simple to work with, intuitive APIs and Interface C. Very high performance D. Almost no db admin is required, it is kind of self managed even in case of DR and Business Continuity
  • BangDB comes with machine learning, streaming, graph and many other features which makes it super easy to get started and implement some of the most complex use cases in speedy manner. Its performance is very high and works well for high load at scale. It provides variety of indexes and query support and implements cypher query language for graph

Cons

  • A. Less documentations, very less resources online B. Minimal ecosystem support in terms of connectors etc
  • BangDB should have better dedicated visualization, right now it is integrated with Grafana which is great but needs to setup workflow etc from UI. Also they need to have better documentations as well.

It has NoSQL architecture, which makes it preferable to migrate any project to this platform. Along with ease of usage, it is also a good platform for scalable applications.

Cons

  • 1. Usually, it takes up a lot more disk space than any other alternatives. 2. There are some security concerns which should be resolved for more trust building of the users.
  • - Using more than few relational data leads to the application becoming trick and complex to handle.
  • - It is a NoSQL, easy to use database, no cons in my usage.
  • - It is not a suitable database when it comes to writing complex queries. - Memory consumption is quite high.
  • There is some complexity initially in the set-up, but the community is quite helpful in resolving those issues.
