Pros from Real Users Pros It is very easy to set up, and the actual backup process—once everything is configured—takes practically just one mouse click. It is simply well designed. Restoring data is just as easy should a problem arise; that, too, is done with a single click. I have been using it for years and have never lost any data. This little program has saved the day for me many times. I would choose it again in a heartbeat, and I use it for both business and personal purposes. Very easy to install and use on my PC and makes me very secure to know that my data is safe day after day. I'm a developer and it's extremely important that my work is competently backed up to avoid potential mishaps. I've been using BackupMaker for several years now. It performs it's job particularly quick and well. Very easy to use but very effective!--Backup comes out perfect--very easy to set up---Also--their screencapture software (Screencapt) produces the best video copies --I use it for legal cases when needed to be introduced into evidence in Court. There is no equal. Lean and efficient. Frequent upgrades. Upgrades install very fast and there have never been any glitches. A truly very useful program for data backup. Once the desired backups have been set up as a task, you don't have to worry about anything else—everything happens automatically. Easy to set up and runs reliably on any schedule that you want. I have used it daily for years and have had very few issues. Very easy to use, setup was quick and easy. Once you set time a what days you want, that was it, done. It never restarts or freezes. It works perfect in Windows 7 and Windows 10., have network features and is easy to customize! I really love it! I use BackUp Maker for my daily backups and I am very satisfied with it. It offers an impressive range of options and allows me to customize every backup exactly as I need. The software is reliable, flexible, and regularly updated.		Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros N/A. nothing good about how the product works can outweigh the fact that they held my files hostage until I converted the lifetime plan I purchased into a subscription. Polarbackup had an initial lifetime subscription offer. They were providing 5TB of cold cloud storage for a onetime fee but decided this year to start charging a monthly fee. N/A. I wasn't too worried about the slow speeds given this is held out as a cold storage solution -- I valued it as lifetime storage option for precious photos, etc -- their sales hook was "Pay Once, Store Forever" -- it allowed me not to worry about hard drives crashing, etc. Cons This company is dishonest and planned to be all along. Again, they sold me a lifetime account for 6 terabytes of cold storage for data I didn't need on a daily basis. I though it would be safe until I needed it. But no, they deleted my account with no notice and basically laughed at me for believing they were telling me the truth about a "lifetime" account. I bought the lifetime plan and could not restore files. Tech support said I needed higher level tech support to fix the problem and would need a subscription for that. I purchased a lifetime plan. I was forced to upgrade to a subscription plan in order to restore files I had backed up. holding my files hostage to get me onto a subscription plan. a company that does that is not one I would recommend to anyone. This was before this March when they announced they were no longer honoring the lifetime plans they sold. Polarbackup is not a trustworthy company. They did not honor their own offer. It really is like a bait and switch. You should not trust or use their services. LIARS LIARS LIARS. I bought a lifetime plan and now they are cancelling the lifetime plan and deleting all of my data unless I pay them a monthly fee. Unfortunately, this appears to be a bait-and-switch operation. They pulled the rug out from anyone that purchased a lifetime plan and are deleting stored data in 14 days unless the lifetime member signs up for an expensive monthly subscription (even though said member already paid a reasonable sum for a "lifetime" plan).
