About

Apple Maps is the best way to navigate and explore the world - all with your privacy protected. Apple offers two ways for developers to integrate Maps into their products. MapKit allows you to integrate Maps into your iOS, iPadOS, or macOS apps. • Use voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation for driving, cycling, or walking. • Get real-time transit schedules and directions via subways, buses, trains, and ferries. • Check real-time traffic conditions, incidents, and road closures. • See speed limits for the road you’re driving on and get guidance on which lane you should be in before your next move. • Report incidents in the Maps app and see incidents reported by other users, including accidents, hazards, and speed checks. • See when you’re approaching speed and red-light cameras along your route. • Get cycling directions to route along bike lanes, paths, and roads while taking elevation and busy streets into account.

About

BatchGeo is a web-based tool that allows users to quickly and easily create maps from location data. With BatchGeo, users can take a list of addresses or coordinates and turn them into a customized map that can be shared with others. The service is often used for business purposes, such as creating a map of customer locations or sales territories, but it can also be used for personal purposes, such as mapping out a road trip or vacation itinerary. To use BatchGeo, users simply upload a spreadsheet of location data or copy and paste it into the tool. BatchGeo then geocodes the data, meaning it translates the addresses into latitude and longitude coordinates that can be plotted on a map. Users can customize the map by adding labels, markers, and other features, and can then share the map via a link or embed code. BatchGeo also offers features such as the ability to search for locations and calculate distances between points on the map.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Apple Maps is an incredible application to be able to be geographically located, with the help of this platform and your mobile device you will be able to detect any place just by looking at the map, in addition, the different functions that this platform has help you to have various types of map visualization in one place. One of the main things that I like about this application is the high quality with which the satellite display function is made, this display has a pretty good image print, which helps me to detect exact places on the map, also, It was colored, which helps the detection of specific places. Another important function of this application is the function of 3D and 2D, this function allows you to completely change the mobility within the map, and helps you feel more comfortable using one of the two available view forms. I really liked the system which allows you to visualize the map through a transport function, this function automatically detects the amount of transport that there is in the different streets and marks the streets with different colors to help you avoid traffic, very important to be able to reach a destination quickly. Another important function that Apple Maps has is that it has many places registered within the platform, which helps you identify the location of any type of store, place or tourist site, just by typing its name in the search engine, this applies to the vast majority of countries around the world, which helps you find specific places in a very short time.
  • - The UI of the application is smooth and responses in real-time with every step. - It integrates seamlessly with other Apple applications. - The interface of the maps is rich and modern, and it also supports street view for some locations. - It works on iOS, so its optimization with every Apple device is lag free and stutter free. - It is completely free to use.
  • I love that you can use Apple Maps wherever you go, even when it comes to different countries. I lived in China for four months and Apple Maps got me everywhere I needed to go. It told me what trains to hop on, where to walk, etc.
  • - It has Good UI and Smooth working features also it is integrated with Siri commands, so the experience is a lot better. - since it is based on iOS, so the integration with the software is very helpful in smooth functioning of Apple Maps. - GPS works perfectly fine with Apple Maps and its satellite view is brilliant. - Consumes less battery than its competitors and fewer data too. - It is made by apple, so most of the data is stored in the device itself and not in any server, so it eliminates the concern of security.
  • Nothing to rave about. Keeps maps pretty up to date. I like the offline feature while going across country, kept us from getting too lost.

Cons

  • One of the main negative things that I managed to perceive about Apple Maps is that this platform to share the location through the WhatsApp application, on different occasions I have tried to share my location with some colleagues and friends and I have not been successful, since the application automatically sends my location to an unknown place and not to the place where I am correctly, in order to avoid this, I had to use the real-time location sharing, so that the application automatically detects my location in real time, but I do not recommend that a normal location is sent, since in most cases the map does not work correctly to identify a current location. Another negative aspect that I found in this platform is that it does not automatically detect the location of the devices that you have associated with your iCloud account, for example, if you have five phones or a senator linked to your same iCloud account, the map should show the location of all those devices in real time within this map, to help you locate the location of each device, but this does not happen to me within Apple Maps.
  • - The application is only limited to Apple devices. - The navigation is not synchronized according to the live traffic of the roads.
  • Sometimes Apple Maps has a hard time if an address and/or neighborhood is new. I thinks it takes the system a little bit to register those areas.
  • - It is less accurate in a country like India and may create confusion sometimes. - 3D street view does not work in India, and it is a major missing in Apple Maps, which pushes it far behind its competitors. - It has very basic icon styling like iOS, and it is not at all appealing to eyes.
  • Doesn't always take you the best way, but it's never super out of the way. Sometimes the backroads are kind of a nice view.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I use it to keep track of my club's membership to show where everyone lives and how much area they are spread over. Lots of fun for our group to see where everyone lives.
  • Very simple and straightforward, please don't change. I like how you can number the points on a map.
  • Easy to use and effective for its purpose. You can drag and drop from excel to build your map and the share it with your friends.
  • It works well. You get everything you need. I use it all the time for work. It's very easy to use and clear.
  • Easy to upload locations and addresses. Easy to view output on a map. Let's you see outlying locations.

Cons

  • I can't really think of any cons. Nothing I have ever done with the product has ever created any problems.
  • Zooming in and out is a bit funky. It's either too zoomed in or too zoomed out.
  • None. I have nothing bad to say about it. My experience has been good.
  • It could number the locations to make it easier to see the different ones.
  • It would be great if it let you select a group of locations and listed the mileage/distance to reach all of them.
