About
Build virtualization solutions on top of a lightweight hypervisor, without third-party kernel extensions. Hypervisor provides C APIs so you can interact with virtualization technologies in user space, without writing kernel extensions (KEXTs). As a result, the apps you create using this framework are suitable for distribution on the Mac App Store. Use this framework to create and control hardware-facilitated virtual machines and virtual processors (VMs and vCPUs) from your entitled, sandboxed, user-space process. Hypervisor abstracts virtual machines as processes, and virtual processors as threads. The Hypervisor framework requires hardware support to virtualize hardware resources. On Apple silicon, that includes the Virtualization Extensions. On Intel-based Mac computers, the framework supports machines with an Intel VT-x feature set that includes Extended Page Tables (EPT) and Unrestricted Mode.

About
MacDuty rents dedicated Mac mini servers from its own racks in Romania, inside the EU. Every machine is bare metal and assigned to one customer: no virtual machines, no shared hardware.
The fleet covers every Apple silicon generation from the M1 to the 2026 M6 and M5 Pro, in 84 configurations. Machines arrive with a clean macOS install, reachable over SSH and screen sharing in minutes, with a public IPv4 and IPv6.
Billing is by the day, the month or the year, with no setup fee and no minimum term beyond the 24 hours Apple imposes on everyone. Paying yearly takes 20% off. Power is unmetered, 10 TB of traffic included.
From the client area you restart the machine, reset its password, manage SSH keys and reinstall macOS yourself. Nothing is locked down: your own Apple account, your own backups. Failed hardware is replaced the same day.
Typical uses: CI runners for Xcode and GitHub Actions, always-on dev machines reached from Windows or Linux, local language models, AI agents.
