About

Anima is a continuous design-to-code platform that allows designers to create and build fully-responsive prototypes that look and act like the end product while using their own design tool (Figma, Adobe XD & Sketch). Anima eases the handoff process to developers by automatically converting designs into developer-friendly HTML, React and Vue code. Collaborate with your team, stakeholders, and clients. Share rich user experience and get a real feel for your product before it goes to production. You can download the plugin for Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch and simply continue working on your own design tool. Sync your project to the Anima platform and collaborate with your product team to work in a continuous flow.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • One of the main pros is the very friendly, intuitive and easy to understand user experience. It was very easy to learn the different capabilities of the application and even more easy to use.
  • Exported code is very readable and setting have a lot of options. Support is very friendly. Developers are interested to hear about the bugs.

Cons

  • Sometimes the UI got stuck when we tried to connect different UI components in order to generate the relevant code but after 2-3 tries we succeeded to connect the components.
  • There are a few bugs (already reported all of them) and the customer service took over a month to solve my issues which at the end did get solved within 5 minutes.. felt like they didn't really care? Not sure tbh.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • - Its Free - Can Collaboration with you team - Its Locally - No need internet (for use local) - Nice UI
  • I’ve had a really positive experience using Lunacy. One of the standout features for me is its collaborative workflow.it’s smooth, efficient, and makes working with a team much easier. Sharing ideas, making updates, and staying in sync feels seamless, which has significantly improved our productivity. Overall, it’s a great tool for collaborative design work.
  • Using Lunacy for design has been great. It works totally offline, so I can design without worrying about internet downtime. The interface is so easy to use—everything feels intuitive, and I didn’t spend hours figuring things out. Despite being lightweight and small in size, it is powerful and capable of handling professional design tasks. I can create high-quality UI designs and prototypes without heavy system requirements. It feels small but mighty—simple on the surface but strong in functionality. For designers who want speed and efficiency without complexity, Lunacy is a solid choice.
  • the app itself is a true native app unlike Figma, which uses electron for it's desktop app
  • As a full stack developer and designer, I’ve tried a bunch of design tools, but Lunacy stands out with its speed, offline capabilities, and smooth interface. The built-in assets and AI-powered features are incredibly handy and save me tons of time. Being able to work with Sketch files without any hiccups is a huge plus. Highly recommended!

Cons

  • - Need more Study for Feature (not much if you familiar with Figma) - Some Feature on Figma not here, but its just different name
  • I’ve noticed that the rules feature can be a bit buggy at times, which slightly disrupts the experience. Improving its stability would make the app even better.
  • - New update does not allow scrolling in prototype mode 12.3
  • AI integration and not being able to import local Figma files
  • Limited plugin ecosystem compared to Figma or Sketch — fewer community-built extensions. Team collaboration is not as seamless as Figma’s real-time editing (though it's improving). Learning curve if you’re switching from another tool, since some shortcuts and workflows are different. Cloud sync and version history are a bit basic if you're used to advanced cloud-based tools.
