About

Substance 3D Modeler interprets spatial input from the physical world, allowing you to sculpt your model as you would in a real workshop. Use the natural, fluid gestures of the artistic flow. Switch between desktop and VR. Whatever your preferences, and the requirements of the moment, Modeler adapts to fit your needs. Modeler helps you at every stage of your project, whether creating concept art, sketching and prototyping, blocking out game levels, crafting detailed characters or props, or sculpting an entire scene. An intuitive approach to 3D modeling frees you from technical constraints and lets you focus on your creation. Modeler lets you switch at any time between VR and desktop, depending on the needs of your project, the task at hand, or your own preferred style of working. Use tools such as symmetry, repeaters, and linked copy variants to efficiently create and edit advanced structures.

About

aukimi is a browser-based creative suite combining tools for graphic design, illustration, image editing, 3D sculpting and modeling, retopology, animation, video, audio, game development, and PDF creation. Its modules support vector and raster artwork, pixel art, 3D materials and rendering, music production, a game engine, and document assembly. Users work in the web app without installing desktop software, with shared projects and assets that move between suite modules. The service offers cloud projects and real-time collaboration, and runs on desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers. A free tier provides access to selected modules and browser utilities, while a Pro plan unlocks all modules. aukimi is intended for designers, illustrators, 3D artists, video creators, audio producers, and game developers creating personal or professional work.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • -Intuitive and similar to Medium. -More complex options for sculpting like radial symmetry, boolean, and more shapes for the move tool. -Audio cues, which helps understand what the user is doing.

Cons

  • Lacking many important features which were present in its predecessor (Medium) that make it hard to integrate this program to a 3D workflow, such as: -A Layer hierarchy outliner. -Support for reference pictures. -A stomp paint mode, which will repaint the inside of a voxel sculpt as well. -Lighting, environment and material settings. In addition, it carries some of Medium's technical challenges like the smooth brush getting weaker on higher resolutions. Also, unlike Medium, it is tied to a subscription plan with no other means of purchase. Lastly, it is still tied to Oculus/Meta software, which makes it impossible to use on any non-Meta headset without Revive.
