Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros As the Vice President of Operations in the Medical industry in Poland, I’ve been using AMFG for a year now. This platform has really streamlined our production workflows, ensuring everything is secure and organized. It offers full traceability and helps us manage complex parts and post-processing jobs effectively. Plus, it keeps track of reprints and integrates smoothly with our machines, which has boosted our efficiency and cut down on errors. AMFG also promotes transparency across departments, making sure everyone stays aligned and informed. I've been using AMFG for about a year and a half here in the USA, where I work as the Head of Supply Chain Operations in the Production industry. AMFG really shines with its real-time monitoring features, which allow us to make quick, data-driven decisions. It helps us maintain repeatable 3D printing processes, ensures that we have consistent quality across different batches, and provides solid analytics to enhance our workflow and printer usage. I've been using AMFG for about 10 months now in the automotive industry as a CNC Machinist here in the USA. This platform has really streamlined our production workflows and quality control processes. It’s super easy to keep track of post-processing jobs, manage reprints, and uphold our strict quality standards. Plus, the security features do a great job of protecting sensitive information. Overall, AMFG has helped us save time, cut down on errors, and boost efficiency in our daily operations. As the Head of Production in the Aerospace sector, I've been using AMFG for the past three months here in the USA, and I can honestly say it has made a remarkable difference in our production and inventory management. The platform makes it super easy to store and manage CAD files for parts that we frequently need, and it allows our customers to reorder critical fixtures and vices without any hassle. The inventory management system is a game-changer, ensuring that we always have essential components on hand, which is crucial for our contingency planning. I've been using AMFG for about 11 months now in the medical sector here in Canada, and I can honestly say it has revolutionized how we handle production and orders. The platform’s real-time planning and automation features have really helped us simplify our complex workflows. Plus, the custom automation workflows have cut down on manual tasks and significantly reduced errors. The traceability feature is a game-changer, giving us complete visibility into order progress, which has really boosted our internal coordination and communication with clients. Thanks to AMFG, we've been able to shorten our quoting times, minimize production errors, and effectively support our growth strategy. Cons On the downside, the setup process can be a bit of a maze, with multiple steps and pages that might confuse new users and take up a lot of time. I think the operator interface could use some enhancements, like a “do today” view to help prioritize tasks better. One downside is that the platform's change management capabilities are somewhat limited. Making adjustments to ongoing print jobs in real time isn’t as flexible or user-friendly as it could be. The biggest downside I’ve encountered is the initial setup process, which can be a bit tricky. Configuring the machines requires multiple steps across different pages, and it’s easy to accidentally misconfigure some settings. A more straightforward, step-by-step setup guide would really help new users get onboarded more smoothly and lessen the learning curve. One area that could use some work is managing customer expectations. While AMFG does a fantastic job of optimizing our internal processes, there are times when customers have certain assumptions about what's feasible, which can lead to misunderstandings. Providing more guidance on the customer-facing order features would really help improve communication and transparency. That said, the system can be a bit finicky when it comes to misconfigurations, which makes long-term maintenance a bit tricky. Also, the documentation could use some improvement, especially for those advanced workflow setups; clearer instructions would definitely make onboarding and troubleshooting a lot smoother. Provides a consolidated platform for managing activities across several environments, apps, etc. Because of automation, manual involvement is considerably decreased, resulting in fewer manual mistakes. Regular scanning of endpoint security components Scheduling and controlling workflow. The manual hours have been decreased from 20 to 5 hours. The program is adaptable for integration with a variety of different applications and services. The reduction in coding is substantial in numerous cases. Once a specific job is created, it can be easily duplicated with minimal adjustments. The scheduler provides extensive and flexible options. ActiveBatch demonstrates exceptional reliability and scalability for all our automation tasks. The tool excels in service management and intelligent automation, effectively scheduling complex jobs and effortlessly handling heavy server workloads, showcasing its robust stability. Its standout feature is its capability to initiate jobs once nightly warehouse batch processes are finished. It offers an impressive array of utilities such as file transfer systems, job schedulers, and other triggers that are highly effective. ActiveBatch offers numerous customization options that are extremely useful for automating our workloads. We use this tool to automate Informatica workflows, database jobs, and shell scripts. ActiveBatch enables you to create a more streamlined process. It provided me with insight into all my tasks, allowing me to select which ones to execute concurrently. ActiveBatch's capability to automate routine and repetitive tasks is effective. It handles this process quite well. Much of our work involves downloading files from SFTP servers and transferring them to our local file servers.
