About

Protectimus SAAS two-factor authentication service is already set up in the cloud and available 24/7, just register and begin the integration via API or using a ready-made integration plugin. The Protectimus On-Premise MFA platform can be deployed on the premises of your organization or in a private cloud. Radius, Citrix NetScaler and XenApp VMWare, Active Directory, LDAP, Windows Logon, and RDP, OWA, ADFS, RoundCube, Dynamic Passwords, API, SDK, customized individual development. Dynamic Strong Password Authentication integrates directly with Microsoft Active Directory (or any other user directory) to add a six-digit password onto users’ static passwords. Today, data violation happens regularly. If you want to assure your data is thoroughly protected, strong authentication methods are vital. We are likely to display personal info without any outside intervention. But when it comes to business, we would not limit user authentication and identification to a single password.

Pros from Real Users

Pros

  • ADSelfService Plus significantly reduces password-related helpdesk tickets by enabling users to perform common tasks themselves — like resetting forgotten passwords, unlocking accounts, updating personal attributes, and managing multi-factor authentication (MFA) settings. It supports self-service for password resets, group self-service, and synchronized password resets across AD, Azure AD, Office 365, and other cloud apps. The inclusion of multi-factor authentication adds a strong security layer to self-service workflows. Customizable workflows and intuitive user portals make adoption simple for end users. Built-in reporting helps track usage, self-service events, and user activity for compliance and audit purposes.
  • ADSelfService Plus enables users to reset passwords and unlock accounts without IT help. It reduces helpdesk workload and enhances user productivity. Supports multi-factor authentication (MFA) and self-update of user profiles. Improves security and compliance with detailed audit trails and alerts.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • We implemented Protectimus RADIUS to add multi-factor authentication for our Fortigate VPN. We prioritized a solution that could run entirely on-premises, and Protectimus fit the bill perfectly. The installation went smoothly, and the support team was responsive and knowledgeable whenever we needed help. We also looked at other solutions, but Protectimus stood out for its on-premise deployment, RADIUS integration, and overall ease of use.
  • The initial setup was straightforward and user-friendly. Convenient OTP Delivery: The option to use a Telegram bot for receiving OTPs is a huge convenience.
  • I use the Protectimus Slim hardware token to log into my account remotely via Cisco VPN. It was a company requirement, but I’ve had no issues with using MFA or carrying the OTP token with me. I know my account is much more secure this way. Since the token is the size of a card, I just keep it in my wallet, and it’s easy to take everywhere.

  • We implement one-time password protection for our office Windows computers to secure remote access via RDP when our staff works remotely. The Protectimus solution was straightforward to set up, and the pricing is fair for our relatively small team. No regrets or drawbacks whatsoever.

Cons

  • Some parts of the admin interface and setup instructions could be clearer, but it has been a reliable and secure choice for our VPN environment.
  • Setting up the Telegram bot took extra time and required following additional instructions. Unlike the 2FA app, there is no option for automatic bot registration, which made the setup process more complex.
  • MFA has worked perfectly every time, and from what I hear, our admins are really happy with the product as well.

  • Bot tokens cannot be automatically registered, and it's challenging to understand how to connect these tokens.
