Great project, the best you can find for this purpose on the market. Much faster than JSF, much easier than GWT. Only downside is that some features are only for PE/EE, but what you get as CE under LGPL is already awesome.

Really not advancing the state of Web 2.0 or SemanticWeb. We are doomed with mediocre controls found just about anywhere. If looking for low overhead approach, try jquery

ZK saved us a jaoperdized project. The development cost was about 1/5 of what we developed (and failed) with the other framework. More impressively, the code is much easier to read and maintain.
