What's new in v5.2.0
ESC/POS Direct Thermal Printing
Fixes the Windows 'printer error' that affected XPrinter XP-80T and other thermal printers.
Root cause: Previous versions sent receipt HTML through Chromium's GDI rendering pipeline which Windows thermal printer drivers reject. v5.2.0 replaces this with raw ESC/POS bytes sent directly via the Windows winspool.drv RAW datatype — no GDI, no rendering conflicts.
Changes:
- New Print Mode dropdown in POS Settings → Printer tab
- ESC/POS Direct (default, recommended for all thermal printers)
- HTML Window (for document / laser / inkjet printers)
- ESC/POS receipt builder: proper columns for 80mm (42 col) and 58mm (30 col) paper, bold headers, item rows with qty/price/total, tax breakdown, grand total, payment, cut command
- Windows raw printing via PowerShell
winspool.drvP/Invoke — zero npm dependencies - Mac/Linux:
lp -o rawpath - Test Print button now sends a full sample ESC/POS receipt to verify layout before going live
- Fallback: if no printer is configured the system print dialog opens as before

- Thermal printer support: dedicated hidden BrowserWindow for HTML Window mode
- Printer settings tab in POS Settings modal (select printer, paper width, silent mode)
