Now, source code files are managed by git. The programme was compiled with MinGW (GNU Compiler collection 5.3.0, GNU Binutils 2.25.1). It was tested with Ghostgum GSview 5.0 and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2019.021.20061 (AARDC 2018.011.20038, AARDC 2015.023.20070) according to the working example presented in http://bmcbioinformatics.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1471-2105-15-219#Sec5.

This is the first version accessible via SourceForge. The programme was compiled with MinGW (GNU Compiler collection 4.7.2, GNU Binutils 2.23.1).
Limitations
Since mouse events are tracked from different software applications, capturing can be blocked by antivirus scanners or settings of the respective viewer (e.g. Adobe Reader). Security settings should be checked carefully if capturing does not work. Ycasd is a 32-bit application and issues may be expected when capturing data from 64-bit applications, e.g. we noticed that the mouse cursor might be displayed differently.
