Viper or mostly known by its old name ("Xray_OS") is an Arch Linux distribution focused on innovation, creativity, usability and software development with a little bit of a touch to help get things out of the box ready for gaming. As of now only its creator maintains the distro.
Don't worry about the new name, if you're an old user who knows about this system and you still want to call it Xray_OS you still can, I will also consider that valid, though the new name is Viper, I don't mind to be presented as "Xray_OS".
Yes the custom installer will still be distributed but.. it has to be fixed in a couple things first, if you're coming from the old Xray_OS, remove it, and install this, this is what is going to be maintained from now on, and it's basically the same just a little bit more stable, a subtle different branding, and more polished than ever, offering now again a calamares option.
