This folder contains a single paper and two presentations. The paper was presented at CARSF&OF 2010 and gave a rough overview of XPDS. A simple attitude-stabilizing helicopter controller was built and tested against a simulation of the craft. The presentation provides the test results for this experiment. The second presentation was given at IASSA 2010 and expanded on this work. The first paper summed up with '...if we can do it with a simulated craft, then it will work with a real craft.' This presentation demonstrates that we took the XPDS program, modified it to work with a real fixed-wing craft, and flew it with the attitude-stabilization controller. Not sure if these need some extra background, if you have any questions don't hesitate to drop me a mail at sam@adcourses.co.za.
