I am using this to rip all (600+) my CDs. It rarely does not find the metadata, but sometimes has a hard time finding the right cover image. It's easy to paste this in though. Editing metadata could be a lot easier, if you could for instance change the album data like title and artist in one place, instead of having to do it for all tracks. I also use it to convert HD audio to formats that work on my iPhone. In all, a great little piece of software, but it could use some improvements on the UI side.

My God, I've been using a Mac since it came out in 1982 and I've NEVER experienced a buggier, brain dead piece of software, if you can call it that. It's only redeeming grace is excellent quality encoding. What good is a preference panel if the program decides it's going to ignore every setting and do whatever it wants? How about actually finding the metadata once in awhile? Or not crashing repeatedly under "CD Paranoia" mode? Only this program, none others, have all these problems and more. Donate? Give me a break! This kind of virus should be illegal!

You can convert APE to Apple Lossless with Avdshare Audio Converter.

I like this software so much, I donated to its cause! Let me tell you why... Simplicity.... Ease.... Quality.... Options.... Preferences....Plugins....and the sheer mass the program can handle! Unlike others that are rating this software down b/c it is not built like an Ikea Instructional Booklet, I needed no assistance with the following: Download ✓ Install ✓ Set preferences ✓ Navigate to folder ✓ and for the cream on the cake... CONVERT 31.7GB FROM FLAC TO APPLE LOSSLESS AND IMPORT INTO ITUNES FROM AN HDD TO AN SSD IN LESS THAN 2 HOURS AND 35 MINUTES!!! That is 47.32GB read and 49.87GB written from a 32 bit program. I am just reporting the numbers, you do the math! Not 1 hiccup, not 1 crash, not 1 Ikea complaint! (Mind you, I like Ikea and their instructions speak for themselves, good job at being all inclusive!) Good Job to the programmers and thank you for the years you have put into this program! I hope more folks donate to y'all! It is rare to find quality out there that isn't inundated with ads! Kudos! If others appreciate this type of program quality, I would like to impress upon you the thought of donating to this group. Cheers!

Solid, straightforward program for converting audio between formats. Great for batch converting. I use it mostly to converting WAV and similar to FLAC for lossless compression, and FLAC to m4a for iTunes. Requires some understanding of audio formats for use, but comes with useful extras such as command line usage for scripting.
