Xiwtool - Wireless Network Scanning and Configuration

Xiwtool release 0.17 contains some much needed updates for handling
managed connections; e.g., connections made with NetworkManager.
This release also supports the Fontconfig outline fonts, and has
some internal speedups and bugfixes.

System Requirements
-------------------

1. A Linux system with a wireless network card and driver for 
the Linux kernel.

2. The GNU GCC compiler and build tools. 

3. Libraries and development headers for the X Window System, libpam,
and libxpm, and preferably libXft and libfontconfig.

3. The ifup/ifdown network package, dhclient, and wpa_supplicant if
you want to connect to networks.  Xiwtool needs only the kernel driver
to scan networks.


INSTALLATION
------------

Xiwtool provides many configuration options that allow desktop users
to connect to wireless networks.  The file INSTALL in the source code
packages provides a complete description.
