  • El mejor escritorio para Linux & Unix con un balance ideal entre características avanzadas y ahorro de recursos.
  • It works. It supports pretty much everything you can think of. It doesn't crash in the hands of a casual user.
  • Nice work thank you
  • Outstanding work thank you
  • Thanks for so usefull software.
  • I slowly started to use xfce applications in openbox to the point where the only difference was I wasn't running xfwm. I have fully switched over now and am loving it. I have a fast computer but can't stand and wasting of resources, this is one of the reasons why xfce is perfect for me.
  • This desktop environment is awesome. It is simple but have everything necessary for convenient work at the same time. It fast and need small amount of resources. Many nice themes for XFCE exist. Short speaking, it is excellent choice for those, who don't like GNOME or KDE and who wants a desktop of their dreams. Very good!
  • Some consider Xfce to be "Gnome lite". But I think a more accurate description is "Gnome Optimized". Xfce strives to maintain a user-friendly environment, an essential component for winning over everyday users who are curious about Linux but might be turned off by something that looks too foreign or complicated. Yet for all its simplicity, it incorporates some decent features. I do hope they continue to pursue the goal of remaining lightweight yet full featured. I believe partnering with LXDE, Scintilla, and Gnome will be essential to furthering this goal. In the meantime, if you feel Mousepad is just too plain but don't want to add 100 MB for Gedit, check out Geany or Beav. You may want to add Gnome Commander or PcManFM as a companion to Thunar for file management. And using Mozilla Seamonkey for web, email and calendar applications within Xfce just seems logical. If done right, you can configure Xfce to be a full featured desktop with all the bells and whistles and still keep the whole thing under 3 GB, and must if you're planning on running it from in a virtual machine on a live DvD or Pen drive.
