Requirements:

Server:
- POSIX Operating System
- Sound Card
- mplayer
- Apache 2
- PHP 5

Client:
- WWW browser able to run Javascript jQuery 
(Firefox, Opera, Chrome, etc. virtually any modern browser)

Installation:

- copy all files under one of apache Document Root subdirectories
- run mplayerd.sh:
bash mplayerd.sh

- now you can access the server with a WWW browser and control playback remotely
