Word Search Creator Reviews

I have used Word Search Creator for a long time, from the old version using .js file and .html which I could do it offline. This new WYSIWYG is so pleasing for the better ease of use. I have used this to create word search for my students learning Vietnamese in Australia in a community school (non profit and volunteer based) and they have enjoyed it. They learn the words by searching for it and it seems to help my students to remember the words to a certain extent. Thank you the creator of this awesome software/app so much. This app uses fonts installed in the user's PC means any language of the world that uses alphabetical system is catered for. The lacking of a help file for offline use is a minor issue for experienced user like me. For new user this lack-of-help-file could increase the learning curve for them a little more but the exploration of the app menu is self explanatory so please go through the menu. It is so easy to grasp the necessary know-how. Thanks to SourceForge for bringing this to the public and free of charge.

Good program but needs some fixes. When I minimize the screen and/or swap back-n-forth between the program view and my internet browser, the panel on the right (of Wordsearch Creator) vanishes which requires I save my work and restart the program to get that functionality back. Also, I've noticed that when I use the custom shapes option, the subsequent puzzles have missing lines in them when I print them. Note: These problems I've mentioned were using the Linux version but I have also noticed the vanishing panel thing in the Windows version, too. But you can make some really good word puzzles with this program. I really like it other than those problems I mentioned... and can't beat the price!

This was exactly what I was looking for.

Can not be built from source, by following instructions (version in CVS). Ether there is missing code, of missing instructions or both.

Been using this for years. Excellent tool.

Simple to use.
