This program is Open Source freeware according to the 3-clause BSD licence (see "__license.txt")

Minimum requirements: Windows XP or higher, screen resolution of 1024 x 768
(some windows may need to be moved to the top in order to see the buttons)
Library "vcl50.bpl" copied in working or system directory (provided with WorldCupRatings)

The program can be started by double clicking on "WorldCupRatings_2.1_noinstall.exe"

Further information is contained in the built-in manual ("no install" version provides no diagrams)

Since plausible setting configurations may be non-trivial, the "setting_examples" folder contains the following
samples (with relatively current Elo numbers):

+ "10_worldcup_settings_2010_start.txt": World Cup 2010 start configuration
+ "11_worldcup_settings_2010_last16.txt": World Cup 2010 last 16 configuration
+ "12_worldcup_settings_2010_quarter-final.txt": World Cup 2010 quarter-finals
+ "13_worldcup_settings_2010_semi-final.txt": World Cup 2010 semi-finals
+ "14_worldcup_settings_2010_final.txt": World Cup 2010 finals
+ "20_europeancup_settings_2004_start.txt": European Cup 2004 start configuration
+ "30_bundesliga_settings_2010_playday17.txt": Bundesliga 2010/2011 after 17 play days

*** How to fix a minor bug ***
The input fields of the World Cup and European Cup menus are case-sensitive. Unfortunately, the calculations
for matches in the preliminaries that have not taken place are only correct with the following (case-sensitive)
inputs: World Cup: "Not played", European Cup: "Not Played"
These can either corrected manually or loaded via the settings files.
