A light weight native windows application works as a GUI front end for GNU Octave, which has a source file editor, a variable viewer, and a folder selector. It can support break point functions as well.

Easy to get running under windows 7. The only glitch I encountered was that to make the plot function actually produce a plot was to change the line in the config file ("C:\Octave\Octave3.6.4_gcc4.6.2\share\octave\site\m\startup\octaverc") to graphics_toolkit('gnuplot');

A very nice, simple GUI for Octave. I've tried many, including paying for XOctave, and this is my favorite. (XOctave has a terrible licensing system. It frequently decides you are not a legitimate user and will not start at all. You must contact tech support and wait typically 2 days until you can use your software again.) I regret purchasing XOctave, but I'm delighted with WOctave.

Woctave is a simple and easy to use. I was using QtOctave, the installation is the pain and the debug features were useless. Woctave debug feature is simple and effective. Hopefully the author can enhance it. I am also the Apple MAC user (Unix X11) and I wish can see the MAC version Woctave soon. Thank you for writing this compact and useful GUI for Octave! Cheers!
