******************************************************************************** WINBINDER - A native Windows binding for PHP Copyright © 2004 Hypervisual Author: Rubem Pechansky (pechansky@hypervisual.com) README file ******************************************************************************** WHAT IS IT? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WinBinder is a new open source development platform that uses PHP to build Windows programs. Go to http://winbinder.sourceforge.net/ for more information and new releases. IMPORTANT NOTES (PLEASE READ) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is a very early release of WinBinder. It is not stable, it is not complete, has no usable documentation, and it has bugs. Nevertheless I decided to release it as a proof of concept and for testing purposes. Its specifications and functions are subject to change. It is not recommended for inexperienced users. This source code is being released in a very early stage. It has several known bugs, some important omissions, badly documented functions and maybe some sections still in Portuguese (my native language). More importantly, some WinBinder functions still need porting to C. They were done in PHP as a time saver in the very beginning of the project and still remain as such. As you can see, this is a work in progress. I was able to compile it in LCC-Win32, Min-GW and Pelles C. However, for some reason, the only compiler that generated a working DLL is LCC-Win32. Also, I had to make some very minor modifications to the original PHP headers so I have also included them here. Enjoy, and feel free to contact me with ideas and suggestions. HOW TO CONTACT ME ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Your ideas, comments, criticisms and suggestions are very welcome.
