What's Changed

This is a Windows packaging hotfix for the v0.24.0 release.

  • Bundles Microsoft's Evergreen WebView2 bootstrapper in the Inno installer.
  • Installs Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime silently on clean Windows machines before CodexBar launches.
  • Keeps the v0.24 provider work from v0.24.0: Codebuff, DeepSeek, and Windsurf support.

Windows Validation

Validated on Windows Server 2025:

  • Built the Tauri release executable from commit d0804935.
  • Verified Microsoft signatures for vc_redist.x64.exe and MicrosoftEdgeWebview2Setup.exe.
  • Verified installer SHA-256 before install.
  • Silent install completed successfully.
  • Registry showed CodexBar 0.24.1 / 0.24.1.
  • Installed codexbar.exe reported product version 0.24.1.
  • Start Menu/Desktop shortcuts were created.
  • WebView2 Runtime was present after bootstrap: 148.0.3967.54.
  • App process stayed running/responding with zero recent CodexBar/WebView application errors.
  • Silent uninstall completed successfully.
