Very good. As much as I would love to see an open format in use, it doesn't look like that's going to happen. This seems like an excellent alternative.

That's a very bad initiative. the web should be open for evryone. You can't just ignore country were h.264 is patented. Mozilla do the right think by promoting theora.

Great idea! Don't forget to release corresponding XULRunner builds in order to supply XUL Devs (like myself;)) with H264 support as well!

this is just not the right time for such bullshyte. at google io there'll be a chance google finally announces free vp8. and the fact mozilla lacks h264 support at least gives some pressure on them. but now you kill even this small pressure, if there's any at all. "thanks".
