This is the README file for What's up, the Open Source microblogging platform of the UOC. It includes just a little modification of the StatusNet README. Please FIRST READ the StatusNet README included in the whatsup.tar.gz package and then take into account the modifications here.

You just have to take into account that the first and second steps of the installation, for the What's up tool is the following instead of the one in the StatusNet README.

Installation (Modification of the first and second steps in StatusNet README)
============

1. Unpack the tarball you downloaded on your Web server. Usually a
   command like this will work:

       tar zxf whatsup.tar.gz
....

2. Move the tarball to a directory of your choosing in your Web root
   directory. Usually something like this will work:

       mv whatsup /var/www/statusnet
....

This adaptation of the StatusNet for the UOC inherits the same license of the StatusNet 0.9.2 program, described in its README file.
