I use WAMP to run Wordpress locally on my Windows 11 machine. The product is stable and reliable. I ran XAMPP on the same machine for the same purpose before and after the second debugging session and some lost work decided to switch.

I have used Wampserver for many years. It is a major time saver and excellent tool. Yes, you have to be thorough when installing pre-requisites prior to installing the main Wampserver package. Recently I installed the Wampserver 3.2.6 error-free and working immediately. I have tried another similar package but prefer the Wampserver. The interactive web-systems made with these tools (LAMP-based) perform very fast and stable in a production environment. Excellence !

I have been a long time devotee of XAMPP, but recent releases have been nothing but utter hassle. I tried a couple of alternatives, but WampServer ran absolutely everything with no issues and no errors, which is exactly what you want with a development platform. Xampp has been put in the recycle bin and WampServer is the new king on my systems. Easy to use and it doesn't 'fall over' like much of the competition out there. Excellent product that is truly worth the effort.

ashutosh19 I got it working. I was looking at the wrong .dll on microsoft. Before anything uninstall Wamp first if you already have it installed. Then google "Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4" and the first link should take you to microsoft with the query at the end ?id=30679. Download the .dll there and then after, install Wamp. That should work for you.

I have installed the wamp server for 5 times but still it is showing.... The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCR110.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem. Even though I reinstalled it is not at all execution.. very poor response.. If any one is seeing this comment kindly help me. Thankyou!

After installation on win 10 couldn't even start, required MSVCR110.dll.

You folks did a great job on designing and coding the 64 bit version. Many years ago it literally took me days to get a clean install. I downloaded the latest version tonight, took a deep breath, and clicked "Install". It was clean on the first shot. WampServer literally was up with all services running in under 15 minutes, and that includes full package download time. Thanks again for developing a manifestly strong product. Shel Bachus

Maybe I was fortunate that I installed onto an older computer that had gone through the upgrade process for Windows 10 instead of being a "virgin" install. I seem to have already had all of the necessary VC redistributables installed. Regardless - 64-bit Wamp 3.0.6 worked for me out of the box. The only adjustment I had to make was to change the HTTP port from 80 to 8080. I expected Windows to already have port 80 in use, or blocked by the firewall, so this wasn't a hassle for me.

Doesn't work. I've downloaded it and the icon is red, not green, indicating that the services are not running. They have some troubleshooting tips but it looks like at least a day's work to plough through all of that. They say you have to go through the whole document. Not impressed.

I've been using various versions of WAMPserver since 2009. I'm very grateful to the current maintainer for taking over the project and moving it to SourceForge. All components installed and worked great right out of the box for version 3. Well done!

WAMP SERVER 2.5 64bit is not yet compatible to install & run Wordpress 4.3.1....this costs a huge of lost time to configure...

You don't want WampServer 2.5, but the list of reasons is long - see my 2015-07-02 rant/review on my blog at philippecloutier.com.

Waste of an hour. Downloaded, followed typical install. Once installed I got error message: can't run because missing MSVCR110.dll. Said to run the install again, so I did. Same thing. I uninstalled all componenets, downloaded again. Reinstalled and got same exact message 3 times. Unable to use it!

This is a must have, its great for people who are learning specially as it provides them with a very easy to handle/install environment where they can deploy complex projects. Highly recommended.

I'm using WampServer in my dev environment for many years. It's a fantastic product. Many thanks to the authors.

Please .. anyone can help me ... I have I installed wampserver version 2.2 on my computer, but I have doubts about how to update the version 2.2E, ERASE ALL DATA or all should I just install, can someone please tell me what steps should I follow .... thank you very much for the help you can give me ...
