  • Worked out of the box for Conexant SmartAudio HD while AppleALC only worked for sound and not microphone, and you do not need to be worry about stupid layouts either. Great work team, such a wonderful plugin and thanks everyone involved.
  • Easy to use, good sound, unbeatable features.
  • Very nice but breaks hibernate. Is it possible to fix?
  • Thanks for your project, I own a sound blaster sb0880, under Yosemite, a R9 270 graphics, 8 Gb of DDR3 RAM, and a Q6600, but when I use graphics, such as in games or very large images, it runs out of audio, the coreaudio stops, will it be a problem in my Hackintosh?
  • okok
  • this version does not work properly, the sound is there, but the signal from the microphone goes directly to the output of the sound card, while the device voice communication signal from the microphone does not reach. here is a link to a fully working kext: "osxpc.ru/news/voodoohda/"
  • Firstly, thanks for the great project! I have tried AppleALC, toledo and hacks from others around the internet and only just have sound with voodooHDA. Tried various Realtek ALC codecs and this sound cards is extremely problematic. For now I have a problem really, really estrange. The board is GYGABYTE SNIPER B6 with ALC 1150. Some times sound work fine and some times no hardware detected. Randomly. If I restart system 10 times, 3 or 4 times it will work, randomly. The question: why? Some ideia? My specs: GYGABYTE SNIPER B6 - fully working OS X Sierra 10.12 - fully working Tried: TOLEDA - not working AppleALC - not working Thanks in advance.
  • Great project!! Really useful enabling the audio ports available on my machine. Please help with one gotcha.. A lot of software assumes each audio device is uniquely named, however HDMI shows up 8x in my machine. Could the driver enumerate them with device and port? Ex... (missing the "Digital-out" part of the name) HDMI11, HDMI12, HDMI13, HDMI14 - for first device HDMI21, HDMI22, HDMI23, HDMI24 - for second device
  • First of all congrats for your hard job!!! I have a Acer 4739 with alc271x audio that works but for some reason I don't know after a while the audio stop work so I need change my sample rate in AUDIO and MIDI config so my audio back again few seconds and stop again. Can you check out what is it? Thanks in advance.
  • Thank you, it's work on Hp pavilion 2313tx, very simple to use
  • I helped design it ;-)
  • i found a bug, it suddenly reboots my system with panic kernel. I use optical cable and motherboard with ALC889 (Gigabyte Z68XP-UD4(v.1)), OSX Mavericks. To recreate this bug: just choose SPDIF-out (Orange Rear), then download MPlayerX from App Store. In preferences of this app choose Detect SPDIF digital output automatically, then find any movie, and pushing right mouse -> Open With -> Other -> choose MPlayerX and check Always Open With. I don't know whether we need to do all of these movements, but when i tried it 5 times i always had reboot with panic kernel. All of these started when VLC player suddenly reboot my system. I would be great full if you fix it somehow, i can provide all needed info. Now i switched back to AppleHDA and will wait of a new VoodooHDA version, as for me it sounds much better.
  • A working replacement for system-provided audio drivers - doesn't require patching/re-installing on every update, supports all consumer HD Audio-copliant codecs. It may give you some trouble though if you don't know what you're doing.
  • It works for my sound card intel high definition audio of M!7X R4, but the sound of each program are not being controlled by system volume. They are always very loudly when opened.
  • Very good project but can't get it to manage my Creative Sound Blaster X-FI Xtreme audio PCI E OEM with S/PDIF (no sound at all on mavericks).

  • It works great except that it doesn't trace the path maps correctly for all of my nodes. Is there a way I can change what nodes it chooses in the trace sequence?
  • Works great with ALC269VB, but after some restarts the audio indicator becomes grey.. Whenever it happens, I fix it by rebooting..
  • Thanks for Voodoohda, it's excellent!

  • Based on the other reviews so far, I guess the code works. But as far as the code goes, it is a hack, not very readable or documented well.
  • Great Audio Driver
