The VirtualRoot Simulator is a stand-alone Java Swing application. To run it, the only requirement is that Java 7 is installed.

Currently, the simulator is provided either as a Java executable jar file or, for the Windows operating system, as a compressed file (tar.gz) containing everything necessary for running the application.
